The conference is currently playing a round robin schedule so they played each other twice in the regular season. HSU got a bye the first week of the playoffs. UMHB won their first round game which led them to meet up with HSU in the second round. NCAA always puts the Texas teams together in the first and/or second round to save travel costs. Sigh.

Why did UMHB only play 7 games in the regular season?
We had 1 game that canceled on us (John Melvin) and the game against west gate didn’t count .
Hsu wasted several opportunities to take the lead but never did.

I was confused at the beginning of the season myself. With schools leaving for realignment and moving to D2, it’s gonna take some to iron out.
