Hello Reg, thank you for your kind words, and for subbing to me. I would have recorded this year's run, but I wasn't well enough. Hopefully I'll catch next year's gathering. Cheers, Brian 👍🙂

@@BrianSeaman Understandable, of course. I see you have quite a few videos up here, so when time permits. I will watch these and see the other subjects you've 'filmed'.
      Best wishes Brian.

Firstly a great big thumbs up and thank you, my memories were stirred from the opening shot. In the back ground the sign on the factory on Bridge Ind Estate read MATBRO and they made loading shovels and I drove one of the two supplied to Chas Brand & Son to load clay away when building the Victoria Line Tube. On leaving school I worked on a farm and drove Fordson tractors, my brother owned an Austin Champ. But what I was waiting for was an ERF 7 tonner in the Grey livery of Chas Brand & Sons that's bean renovated but I can't find out the owner, I drove that lorry on many journeys from S London to Chepstow in S Wales. I would love to pass on my experiences with that old girl.

Thank you. It was an unusual route in 2019, and meant that I could put a reminder of our industrial past in the background. Best thing to do is to ask the HCVS and supply the same ERF details to them, with the reg no if you recall that. If the vehicle is still operating, they could be able to tell you: www.hcvs.co.uk

I worked on the construction of the Victoria Line in London and on setting up the site the vehicles were delivered. 2 Humber Hawks,13 Morris Minor Travelers, 2 Minor vans. 2 Morris J4s, 2 Morris 5 Tonners and 2 Matbro Mastiff loading shovels the factory was in the shots. Of course the list continued with construction plant.
But the parade of vehicles was great to see.

    I ride vintage motorcycles now.

It's a pity those buses had so few passengers in them. It would have been a sweet ride on board those. Loved the red London Transport single-decker bus at 17:05
