- In this episode of Urban Exploring, I will be taking you for a tour through this super retro home that appears to have been built in the mid to late 1970's. Located on a massive multi-acre property in a busy city, this property is sure to be prime real estate and a contender for new developments. Inside, this home is absolutely untouched, with original tile, woodwork, bathrooms, and kitchens; this house is like stepping right back to the late 70's. Outside, the property is deep, and secluded, with pear trees, and REALLY strange and creepy surprise out back. Join me for a tour of this amazing retro home!
I was joined by @ethanminnie and @urbexontario73 for this explore, make sure you check them out and subscribe!

This is 70's to early 80's appearing but I sincerely belive this house is older, possibly as far back as the 50's judging by the curved plasterwork in the upstairs ceiling 23:16 and roof sheating boards visible in the attic, 21:21. By the early 70s, plywood was beginning to be used.
Thanks for the tour Greg!
👍🤠
Note:
29:35 I know my way around plumbing and faucets, this is a real technical feat, purposely done and I don't know how or why. Perhaps too cheap to buy a shower faucet. It reminds me of the old television show "Green Acres". Their telephone was at the top of a telephone pole that Oliver or Lisa Douglas had to climb to answer or make a call, Oliver, he fell off a few times.
😁
Totally agree about the age but lots of layers of remodeling from '70's through 2000's.
I guess I have to admit I'm wrong on this!!
You may very well be right John. Thank you so much for watching and leaving these notes I'll pin them now, sorry I was late to reply I had a busy weekend
Yet another house that I'd love to live in! You did a great job on this explore. I especially liked when you uncovered the classic "hack work" in the basement washroom/shower. Thanks for bringing us along on this one! It was great!! 😊
Hey grouchyfish!! It's a pretty cool house right?!? I love finding hack work. Glad you enjoy that bit! I'm super glad you came along for the tour and enjoyed it!! Thanks for being part of this thing!!
Uncapped!! 🦅🤘
Great explore as always! I kinda liked this interesting home. The basement was neat, loved that fireplace too!
Congrats on your big win😊
Keep rockin' out the awesome videos, you're getting closer to your 5k goal with each great explore!! 🤘🦅
Hey SMIPA! I'm glad you enjoyed this one, thanks for being there with us, glad you're part of the group! Thank you for the kind words and that 5k goal is getting close isn't it!! Thank you!!!
What an amazing explore. That shower tap which was really the sink tap, sun me out as well!!! Great video as usual!!
Hey Heather! Thank you so much for being there and I'm glad you enjoyed this. That sink tap/ shower were one of a kind!
Love the turn around driveway and the property, would be great for bee keeping, I think it's a 60's house with updates thru the yrs also upstairs I believe is an addition
Hey Mary! The driveway is fantastic isn't it, there needs to be more of those these days that are designed that way. A very well be right about the house being updated through the years, and maybe the upstairs is an addition. Maybe an attic that was converted. Thank you very much for watching sorry about the slow reply. I hope you'll check out some more of my videos!
Brilliant, as always 👌 thank you , appreciate the respect you have for these homes .wouldn't like to be paying that electric bill !, . I've seen this sort of layout before in the upstairs, usually when the husband or wife's health is declining to the point of needing care .
Hey el! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and the kind words. I do my best to be respectful to these places, so thank you for noticing. I really appreciate you for saying that! Sorry about the slow reply I hope to hear from you more!
I agree with John, this is a 1950's house with 1970s and 80s funk updates. Cool house though. That shower was fudged up too lol. Keep Orange Crushing It, Greg!.
Hey Tommy. It could very well be. Just usually you see remnants of the past in that case and you don't really here, they certainly seemed to update the place into the 70s from top to bottom if so. Thanks for being there as always sir!!
@@UncappedFilms 👊👊👊
I love the front door and the basement was cool. Love the tiles on the floors and the bathroom walls and the fireplace to. Guess they hooked the sink and shower water together was crazy and the staircases.Thought that was persimmon fruit the first time.Love the kitchen to. Thanks for the tour.
Hey JST! thank you for watching and commenting! I am with you, the front door and basement were very cool. Love big fireplaces like that! It's an odd way to connect a shower, very unconventional lol. Thank you so much for watching this and commenting! I'm sorry for the slow reply, I hope you'll check out more of my videos!!
This house looks very nice I would live here i love the land so much space thank you for sharing 👍
Hey Alicia! I agree the house is very nice and the land with all that space is something to dream about. A lot of people would love to live there it's a shame that it's abandoned. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I hope you watch some more !
Lots of knobs and the last room had some funky ass flooring too
Hahaha funky ass flooring! Can not disappoint the fans of knobs!
Yes, knobs are a MUST for this crew 🤣
I love this place .wow love the fireplace and the caddy. The front door the wooden floors. I just love it all. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hey Patty, I'm glad that you found this video and that you really loved it. The place was really cool and it had all the great features didn't it? Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment and I hope you'll be back
I swear you should be on TV Greg! Excellent explaining as you go along and the perfect media voice! Great job 😊😊😊
Wow Robin!! I don't even know what to say. Thank you so much. I do my best and it's nice to hear something like that! Thank you.
@@UncappedFilms welcome!!!
Another nice house. The room off the master bedroom could have been an office . The basement was unexpected but very cool. Thanks for sharing this video.
❤ from Wisconsin
Hey Jules! I'm glad that you enjoyed this place! It could very well have been an office you're right. I'm glad that you enjoyed the basement too. Thank you so much for watching all the way from Wisconsin. It's nice to hear from you
That was a strange house. The shower controlled by the sink was the chefs kiss. It would be cool if someone showed it some love.
Hey Megan! I totally agree with you it's a strange place that could use some love. Thank you for checking it out and leaving your comment I really appreciate it. Hopefully you'll check out more of my videos!
Gutted I missed your live fell asleep I love retro houses I'm not into really modern homes without any character I love that it has its own orchard Apple and pear trees it would take some time to get it back into shape but it must have been fantastic at one time great workshop so no mess in the house great video as usual honey looking forward to your next one 😘
I was told those might be pomegranate trees. It's okay that you missed the premiere, I'm glad that you saw the video either way! It was a little quiet without you though:)
@UncappedFilms nice to be missed honey I will try my best not to fall asleep again 🙃 this week 😘
@glenyshanlon5112 don't worry if you do, we all need our beauty sleep sometimes
This house is in to good of shape for no one to live here
Hey Sandra! I totally agree with you it's a complete shame because of that reason too. Thank you so much for checking this one out!!
Amazing property. Probably now owned by a developer. A prime candidate for a yard makeover video on YT.
Hey Joan! I believe it is owned by a developer sadly. That's a great idea for a makeover show! Thank you for watching and commenting, I hope you'll check out more of my stuff
@@UncappedFilms Thanks for the video and the response. I'll be clicking on you :-)
@@joanfrellburg4901 sorry I was a little slow, I had a busy weekend, but I always do my best to reply to everybody! Thank you very much

Hey James! Totally agree, it's not too far gone. Could still make a great home. Thanks:for watching this one!
Cool house explore ty
Hey Donald, I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, I hope to hear from you again
Thanks For The Tour, Hope You Turned All The Lights Off, Before You Left.
Hey Paul! Thank you for checking out another one of my videos! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it and of course the lights were turned off on the way out:)
@@UncappedFilms oh, thank you, yes it's great that you turned the lights off, as this could cause a fire, and it was strange that the water was still on as well. But this one was a good one of yours, it's great that you don't show how you get in, and what location you are in. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I always shut them off for that reason actually! The water being on is super weird, and lately I've found that a lot! Thanks so much Paul!
I like the whole place pretty cool.
Hey Donna!! It is a pretty cool place. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching this one;;
@@UncappedFilms Yep always do.
29:34 reminded me of the episode of The Golden Girls when Rose tried to re-plumb their master bathroom 🤣
Hey goth guy! That's pretty funny and a pretty good reference I would say!! Thank you very much for the laugh and for watching the video! I hope you'll be back for more
Hello 🏠🍺 Greetings from Brandenburg Udo 🇩🇪
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🦋
Hey!! Nice hear from you again, meetings from Toronto Ontario Canada!!
Awesome explore Greg! The front door and the fireplace in the basement were cool. I couldn’t believe the hack work on the bathroom sink and shower in the basement. That’s the first time I ever seen anything like that.😂
By the way, where can we watch the fight or can we? Congratulations champ!!!
Hey Jamie thank you so much for watching and being part of the premiere as usual. The front door was amazing I agree. I think that's the first time anybody seen a shower work like that LOLOL
Thank you very, as soon as I get the raw footage I'm going to put on Instagram most likely
Loving that tile when you walk in love that front door love that big windows most of the tile all around the floors the railing on the stairs fireplaces also liked the explore Greg 👍✌ until next week
Hey Catherine!! Thanks for watching this, always look forward to hearing what you think, glad to hear this didn't disappoint!! Sorry for the slow reply!
@@UncappedFilms it’s all good Greg 👍👍
I'm glad. Hope you make the premiere tonight
@@UncappedFilms believe me Greg I will be there alarm is already set lol
Those basement windows
look like a trap if there
was an emergency nobody
can crawl out.
hey Punky, that's actually a really good observation and point you bring up! I didn't think of that, thank you so much for watching and commenting, I hope you'll be back for more!
Hey Greg thats a totally awesome back yard and the undergrowth these are my favorites places to explore at first with that creepy dog looking shed was bizzare but then it might of been a fishing hang out with the boat and pond. Yes definately 70s house for sure. They must keep the lights on to deter people. Another nice fridge to open that kitchen is very neat. At 16.03 did someone drop a massive fart Lol. Weird as toilet and bathroom in one, dump and wash hey. The fire place reminded me of a brick kiln. This was a another uncapped special mate cheers again for showing us around, say hi to Ethan and Owen Brother.
Hey Werner! Thank you for checking this one right man. That whole area back there was super bizarre. Some people think this is a 50's home renovated. I'm not sure I still think it's '70s. Lol I'm really glad that you enjoyed this one dude, thank you for watching
Who dropped a ripper at 16:03 Greg hehe. What an awesome explore you guys did here. Love the barn style ceilings and that bathroom quite peculiar how it was laid out. Great stuff my friend 🥰
Hey drew. Thanks for watching this one. I'm not sure who did it but it wasn't me lol. I'm glad you enjoyed this one man thank you so much for checking it out
Hi, great explore! that main floor was amazing but that 2nd floor was truly lacking! I can't imagine sleeping in that bedroom while someone is grunting and groaning from dropping a deuce🤢. Thanks for sharing!🧡🏚🏘
Hey Kimberly! Thank you for checking this one out. Sometimes every floor can't be a banger but the first floor can sometimes make up for the entire house lol. I'm glad that you watched it and enjoyed it still thank you so much for commenting!!
1:12 Looks like a bird house to me. Not bird feeders they are bird houses. I'm like you, I like kitchen sinks under a window too.
Hey blue rose! You might be right I might have misspoke, sometimes it's hard to say the right thing when you're trying to do all this at once lol. I love the sink by the window I think it's very important to have that. It's amazing right?? Thank you so much for watching and commenting sorry about the slow reply.
Yikes , creepy , scary house.
Hey Melissa! Hope you weren't too scared! Thank you for watching and commenting, I hope you'll watch more of my stuff!
As you walked us through, I was re-decorating and upgrading it all in my head. LOL. I would love to own that place and be able to save it.
Hey JJ! I like it, sounds like you have a very good imagination and know exactly what you want. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the comment! I hope you'll be back for more
hey there greg this is a pretty cool looking old 70s styled house strange looking set out basement big house awsome video greg.oh my how did they manage doing that in the bathroom with the hand basin tap controlling the water flow in the shower thats very creepy greg i have never ever seen something like that before.
Hey Peter! Yes definitely a pretty cool place isn't it. I've never seen anything like that either, I'm pretty sure that's not standard plumbing lol!! Thank you so much for watching this Peter it's always great to hear from you
Very nice home.
Hey Nancy I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed this place. Thank you for watching and commenting and I hope you watch some more of my videos!
Hello Uncapped, the front door reminded of The Brady Bunch TV show, along with the staircase.
That downstairs sink handle was weird how it controlled the shower, woah! How do you explain that one?
I can see a BIG Wedding and Reception being held here, this place would be IDEAL for that.
So, do you know what it was that made the people move out?
This home isn't too far gone, it could be saved, such a pity!
Thank you Uncapped for showing us around, take it easy, you are getting closer to 5,000, YAY!
P.s, I didn't like that pond and she'd area, that's CREEPY! 😮
Hey Didi! Thanks for watching this one! You're right the front entry is Brady bunch like is it? I can't explain that sink/shower situation. I don't think anybody can lol. It's a mistake that is hilarious lol
You're right this place could host many types of events really. Even if it is creepy!!
Definitely getting close to my goal of 5000. Couldn't do it without people like you helping me out! Thank you for being part of this!!
@UncappedFilms It is my pleasure and my honor, I would LOVE to see you go right on by 5000 and just keep going right through the stratosphere instantly reaching the highest numbers of all, EVER!! HOW COOL!! ✨️🌟
Were those pomegranate tree
It's in Ontario, do those grow here??
@@UncappedFilms no clue I'm Way South
@@jerroldmcley4347 I live here and I don't think I've ever seen them lol
I loved the property, except for the mini dump and fenced in pond. What the? The inside had some really weird parts like that open bathroom in the bedroom.😵💫 A very creative [cheap] diy-er lived there.
Hey she elf! That was really weird wasn't it? I'm not sure what was going on back there lol. The open concept bathroom in the bedroom is the weirdest thing I've ever seen lol. I guess they just made things work they didn't care about much else. Thank you so much for watching and leaving your comment and I hope you'll check out some more my stuff!!

There was np birds or any kind of noise. It was eerily quiet 😮

Dog kennel?
Possible Jerrold. Maybe?
Ooo scary 😅 l will be there honey 😘
See you there
Not a place I would like to own. Just blah I think. Mind you 1950s isn't always my idea of "neat" with regards to housing.
Hey Wendy! I think that era can have some neat design, but it can also be bland and dated. Not even a big garden could save this one for you?? Thank you for watching this wendy!
Dude you spend to much time in each room ...
And the problem with that is?
You could aways watch on high speed. I like to see everything so it's good that he spends time there.
