Mikami disobeyed him because he wanted to, the mistake is entirely Mikami's
and this is all completely forced, Mikami knew he was being followed, he KNEW they would take the notebook if he went to the bank, forced script and character deconstruction, Mikami was always shown as someone cunning, and not even MISA would to the bank, disobeying Light and handing the victory to Near
killing the takada was secondary, going to the bank and getting the real notebook was losing on purpose

I feel like saying Near and Mello had absolutely no help in terms of L’s data is just the slightest bit misleading. It’s impressive for sure given they didn’t have L’s specific data to go off of, but L did allow for the concept of a killer notebook to eventually reach Near’s ears via the relatively public Higuchi arrest.
It’s not as major of a head start as I know some people believe (finding about the notebook from the Higuchi arrest itself is still impressive for sure) but it’s still something important L’s successors had that L himself didn’t.
Not to mention they could go to the task force lead by L and get direct information about the Kira case headed by L. Any information they can give is information from L’s detective work.

Bro the “data deletion” is not a true data deletion, i forgot where its stated but the data deletion button is a fake “deletion” but in actuality it stores the data somewhere and when the timer counts down to zero, wammy’s house will receive the data and the info that L is dead, hence why near knew all about what L already done and was even impressed with light’s memory loss plan, near had all of L’s research
Crazy that light could have gotten higher feats if the author kept him consistent by not trusting others(mikami)
Also if the author wasn't sensitive to the response of L Fans that hated his death, light could have been on a whole different level of manipulation😂😂
Mikami is just one part of the flaw of death note part 2, the biggest flaw is light not killing the task force members and people dare say death note part 2 is underrated and doesn't deserve hate, but it actually does 😂😂
Weirdly enough it's kinda consistent that he trusts his allies to not be dumb 💀. He did it with Misa with L and he did it with Minami with near.

@justsomeguywithamustache2901 what happened with trusting Misa to get L's name and not to mess it up and getting him basicaly confirmed to be Kira, so much that he resorted to erasing his own memories and letting L imprison him

I’m pretty sure some of the subtitles might be AI, because a lot of the time they tend to be inaccurate.

Not going to lie the only reason why near and Mello working together could even get light is because Mikami made a mistake I mean light said in ep 36 that L would have considered the possibility for a fake notebook from the very start meaning he could do that in an instant and both near and Mello had to work together and Mikami made a mistake to help them reach the same conclusion. That being said it goes both ways if L was able to figure that out and light new about it he would have found a countermeasure to it and vise versa and vise versa again the fact that Mello had to die and Makima had to make a mistake for Near to actually win in the end when light just came up with that plan out of his ass is rediculas
Well Near also found out about the fake notebook yet Light didn’t have a countermeasure for that. Granted it was through luck, Light never should have assumed Near couldn’t find out about the fake notebook. If a theoretical L took Near’s place, all L have to do is pretend to be unaware of the fake notebook, and go through Near’s exact plan. (Either Gevanni magically created a fake notebook in one day, or use the death note to control Mikami). And boom, a theoretical L that took Near’s place would win. Light should have automatically have a countermeasure assuming the fake notebook is found.
@@MasterlyRex8789 his arrogance got in the way which can be seen by the psychological change that light took in his journey and after L’s death and light would have come up with a countermeasure for L’s countermeasure and vise versa the fact it took Mello’s death and Mikami’s mistake because of that for Near to even figure out it was a fake where light thought that L would have already assumed it was fake is ridiculous and shows that Near is nowhere near L and lights intellect
