Mello was the one to realize that a fake death note was in play. He proved he was ahead of the game, even if it meant sacrificing himself.
mellow underated
@@toxicboommc35 Heavily!!
i dont want to admit it because i dont like mello. you are right though maybe i need to read the manga.
How did he prove it. I never understood this
@@shwetasingh4900 "Near didn't know that Kira had also created a fake notebook until Mello kidnapped Takada. Mikami, who was writing people's names into the Death Note at the time, revealed where the real notebook was when he thought that he needed to kill Takada." - Creator source
Since, he knew that someone believed to be Kira, Light and Mikami were being watched, he guessed that it would reveal the real Death Note, which it did. Light and Mikami made a mistake which is revealed at the ending. They both wrote Takada's name...
Love how this dude changed so many of his videos' titles to "why x vs x isn't close" and then there's this one which just left him wondering lmao
bro lost it 😭
"Why L vs Near vs Mello" is the current title
Fun fact: Near and Mellos name were actually meant to be switched but an error happened with the printing and the author liked it so he kept it
That's a stupid lie
@@user-se9dy5co2rit's not a lie, the editor, Obata, made a mistake and wrote the names wrong.
Mello was supposed to be the calm one, while Near was close to the answer each time but never made it. Then their names got swapped and the author just liked it.
There are sources you can look, but I can't post a link on YT.
Why assume it's a lie and be needlessly aggressive? Child behavior tbh.
Do you really think the authors would make a weird mistake like that? What existed first was the weekly manga and then the volumes, there was no way to let the error continue, in addition to the characters not matching each other's customization, The databook also denies this.
Children are those who believe in this fake news in 2024 @@asimplewizard
makes sense, since it’s LMN in the alphabet
Do you really think the author would confuse his own creation? In addition to the fact that the chapters before moving on to the volume are redesigned, I'm not even going to get into the fact that the personalities have nothing to do with them.@@asimplewizard
Also, Light didn't view Near or Mello as anything less but L's inferiors so he didn't took them as serious as he should have which also cost him the victory while L had been tip toeing across all of L's plans and traps.
mellow I think is the most underrated character his drive to do anything it takes to get the case solved and his resourcefulness really made him useful

Based on this video, L emerges as the most accomplished and proficient detective. L excels in working memory processing and problem-solving abilities, outperforming both Near and Mello in these areas.
His exceptional deductive and inductive reasoning skills enabled him to manage large amounts of information and solve intricate problems, as demonstrated by his success in resolving numerous cases, including the Kira case. Near only had the opportunity to prove himself after L's death. Mello, in contrast, resorted to extreme measures to gain victory over Near and L, but consistently scored lower than Near in assessments.
In terms of deduction skills, L's ability to identify Kira's identity was unparalleled, and he was able to solve the case without the benefit of additional information that Near and Mello had.
I love how these videos measure intelligence. I had no idea about these kinds of indexes and I find the analysis so fascinating
What would've happened in the end if Near totally miscalculated Light's plan?
Let's say that Light instructed Mikame to write everyones name in the Death Note, including Light Yagami's, Near would have made his bug reveal and looked like a complete fool at the end. Then when Near showed the task force the notebook Light could memorise the names of the SPK and written them down at a later time.
With patience and Mikame becoming a sacrifice for Kira, Light could've outplayed Near, clearing himself of suspicion from his own taskforce, discrediting Near and also making Mello's sacrifice for nothing.
One fact that it doesn't get brought up, but didn't L effectively took the most difficult entrance exam in the country, the one Light prepared for months, without any prep and became a representative freshman?
I think that really show how smart L is.
A interesting matchup for Near and Mello working together is against Beyond Birthday.
Love your content 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love your full scale analysis videos❤ and do you bungo stray dogs or no game no life
You know something that always bugged me? The dn is not supposed to run out of pages. If you get close to the end it magically gains more. So it just took me out of the show when giovani 1. Pulled that off in one night (literally impossible) and 2. The dn didnt replace it pages after all of them were torn out.
Light was literally too smart for the author of death note to kill him off so plot armour had to do it 😂

@@AventSir Thanks man 😁
@@AventSirDid light really have everyone’s names but Nears? Even if near was wearing a mask, you could just beat him up and take it off him then write his name if he had no backup? I assumed light and mikami only had the names of lights task force beforehand. I don’t see the point of near wearing a mask if he believed that everyone could die but him and he had no backup plan for if that happens.
I want to see a video on what would happen if light never killed the FBI
Something that I have to give near credit for is how well he dealt with both light AND Mikami.Mikami was VERY smart and clever when it came to correctly guessing lights will, even making moves before light even though it,you can say that l had to deal with Misa, but she was a non factor, here only usefulness was her eyes
It's obvious that near used the death note with mikami. He didnt outsmart him he just used the death note

Can't imagine L having children for some reason
Thats exactly why the idea was scraped😂@@thelastcrow5660
Near should have been L’s brother, although they have some personality differences he is just too much of an L clone in mannerisms and appearance. You can have two smart on the spectrum characters (which they both almost certainly are) without having them be that alike.
@@archivesoffantasy5560Near is only as much a L clone as Mello is, they both might have similar habits to L but that's it really.
Near has more of a personality in the manga, the anime for part 2 basically put 25 episodes worth of content into 13 episodes.

@@AventSirall good! Just some constructive feedback. Didn’t ruin the video or anything lol
appreciate it brother
can you do "Can L Solve the Whiteroom case" ?
Honestly Near knowing scraps could still work makes the ending very silly. Mikame knew that pages worked because Light had him send them to Takeda. If he had half a brain he would carry a page on himself at all times as well so the bank visit would not have happened, and there would have still been an active page during the final confrontation.
Yay! More of L!
good video, but maybe proof read your captions next time, lots of random typos
i think in the final chapters, Near even admits that he is not as great as L if i remember correctly.
at the final episode he said that he may not be smarter than L but with the help of mello them two surpass L!
is this the avent that did what ifs back in the day?

Bros actually uploading consistently
is he gonna fall off??
Who is smarter? Ayanokoji or Kaito Kid?
Can you do john kramer please
I think youre confusing Halle Lidner with Linda. Linda was another Wammy's kid, she drew the sketches of Near and Mello we see in the series.
Near should have been L’s brother, although they have some personality differences he is just too much of an L clone in mannerisms and appearance. You can have two smart on the spectrum characters (which they both almost certainly are) without having them be that alike.
Can you change the title to
L vs Mello vs Near instead?
So that it’s alphabetical? The author chose it specifically so M and N would be successors to L.
Kinda funny that he liked this comment yet chose to not take action on the suggestion 😅
Is what?
14:05 true
L's main story feats are actually overrated. He displays great detective skills, no doubt about that, but once Kira and L both knew of each other's existence Light's goal was to get close enough to even the odds, which is why he made the taunt when his killings aligned with a student schedule, among other things. Both wanted to identify the other, so narrowing it down to Light is not as impressive as it is often made out to be. The challenge was, almost from the start, to find a way to get conclusive evidence.
This is often forgotten when evaluating and comparing these three detectives, though it obviously says nothing about what's covered in surrounding stories.

The thing is near's plan would have not even worked like how could a man copy 240k names WITH THE SAME HANDWRITING of the user in one day thats scientifically and physically impossible
Near is just built different
In all seriousness, i think if i remember correctly it's explained Gevanni and Rester did the coping together and wasn't it only 16 pages. Each page only had like 500 names on it I think
A big difference of Near from L is Near actually cooperates more, so don't think Near wrote all those names himself
You are missing the fact that death note that was replaced was in fact Misa's Death Note, the one that she got from Gelus. Majority of the names kira has written were in the very first notebook, that was later taken by Shidou. So there was actually a lot less names in the note than 240k.
the notebook he copied had 16 pages filled out, and it was the notebook Mikami wasn't checking with microscope. pay attention to the story orjust look up why it makes sense
@@WThroat this wasn’t told in the anime it was in the manga so yeah it makes sense
28:25 You need some better editing if you're going to stumble like this, happens to everybody though.
Bruh voice in his first video vs now 💀.

I dont like when jargon is thrown around casually when most people cant be expected to know what it means, and i dont see why people would be expected to, either. All it serves to do is turn language in to something that confuses peoples brains if jargon is used so casually.
Induction and abduction can be easily rephrased as "beliefs formed from consistency and probability". Because thats literally what induction and abduction are. The terms can be used in the context of logic systems but that's irrelevant here. For example, everybody intuitively understands if then statements so you don't need to distinguish between validity and soundness in an argument. Because something has happened repeatedly/an observation has been consistent you at some point assume or believe that it actually is consistent/will happen again. That the pattern repeats. Thats induction. Since something is the most likely explanation of an occurance/a thing that will happen you assume or believe that it is the reason that thing occured/it's what will happen. Thats abduction. Deduction is "reasoning from necessity". It takes under 3 seconds to say that. You could even give an example. "My dog is all brown, something can't be all one color and part another color, so that means my dog isn't white." You can say something at the beginning of the video or before the thing being said so people actually know what youre saying instead of their brain just thinking something like "well its reasoning".
I think if they were the same age, Near and/or Mello would have a better shot at beating L. But a 10ish year difference in ages is pretty significant, especially when you're looking at teens whose brains haven't fully developed yet.
