Rest in Peace Jack Chapman...😢. The world is a smaller place without your kindness and friendship, your music, and your cooking. Your 'family' was huge, far beyond those real family and close loved ones, ... many that never met you in person. Your memory, and your kind Spirit live on.

This is what you do as an adult. You take the time to introduce kids to good ingredients, proper techniques, and demonstrate how they can make good, healthy, and hearty food for themselves and their loved ones. It isn't a mystery... they just need the right mentors and teachers to show them and guide them. This applies to any area of instruction. Good teacher + willing student + patience = the next generation's success. Brilliant!

Peppers come on Chappy no no. Im from the Cape and that's not how my grandpa did it. He was a true Cape Codder quahogs, salt pork, onion a little celery, potato diced small, whole milk, little cream, pepper, and that's about it. Fresh baked bread to go with it. Nice recipe Jack......being from New England (Central Mass) and born in Cambridge, seafood is always been a favorite, and New England Clam Chowder is a staple in that diet. I have not made it for ages......you have again inspired me to make some! Thanks!!!! (and you are a wonderful teacher)

Love your philosophy of zero waste Jack! And great job bringing all these families together with your cooking. That chowder could be a little bit thicker for my taste but looks amazing nonetheless!

I'm going to do this at my house. Being from Seattle we get lots of good seafood. Clams included.
I will miss this guy. He was a great man. Carry the legacy.
