This is a fantastic lesson. One of my goals for 2024 is to get better at blues and learn some of the classics. Clapton is a master and I could practice for a hundred years and never come close but you’ve done a wonderful job of breaking down and simplifying some of his licks. Subscribed!

Thanks Joe! I've been spending time with Part 1 since it's such a nice basic song to add licks to and here they are! Was going back to Sweet Home Chicago today but this is just what I needed. I'm on a roll right now with your lessons. Just not enough hours in the day. Chores are suffering :). Thanks again!

Never played my Martin CEO7 much, favouring my Huss & Dalton crossroads L13 and Collings 02H, until I tried Martin retro monel strings on it, wow, now I love it, it's a cannon
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons I was curious of your whereabouts, I have no problem following your instructions, you cover the chords and licks thoroughly but move along nicely. When I first picked up guitar all I wanted to play or knew was blues. I got away for awhile discovered folk, country, rock and some pop. But now I'm back to my roots., exactly this. Hi Colin you might wanna check my patreon, there are tabs and lots of exclusive material to help with fingerpicking etc, but if you do it’s better to join 1st of the month 👍
Hi Joe I hope you are going strong. I love Eric's version of this song on EC Was here and thank you very much for all your Blues lessons. You have asked for suggestions at the end of part 2 of the Driftin Blues lesson. If you had the time and thought it was a good idea i would love it if you were to show how to play the bits (or some of them) Clapton plays in the EC Was Here version. You could probably tell me I could work it out for myself but truth is I am probably older than you and haven't been playing all that long and I just don't have the time. cheers, Eljay

Hey Luca, there are tabs only for the licks in part 2, there is also a backing track so you can practice the licks. If you are going to join I would suggest waiting until the 1st of Jan as the billing start when you sign up and again of the first of each month. Hope that helps
