Marion, I always get a chuckle out of watching your videos. The cards are lovely. I have a card sitting on my work table right now that I put the front on the wrong way. I’ve decided that rather than correcting it, I’ll send it to my sister who will get a chuckle out of it!

A bit of a wobble - what a cute expression! Cards are lovely. I think it is much easier to do ink blending with the blending brushes rather than the domed sponge things. Thanks so much for sharing! 😊

Beautiful simple cards again Marion, I'm like you too I have to organise the bits I've coloured or die cut etc. before committing them with glue, even then sometimes once I've finished I think of another way to have laid them out that would have looked better.

Love them both BUT my Favorite is the single large vellum butterfly along with the raised colored cut out butterfly. Anyway it's simplicity yet color combination just sent out vibes to me. May have to give this a try. I probably don't have the shades of ink pads you used today. I know I'll have a close yellow perhaps a blue. Not likely purple. But I'm thinking of trying my chalk pastels because I can go intense or lighter and they do blend well and I have lots of colors. PS I experimented with chalk pastels, copic markers, & colored pencils and covered entire designs with clear WOW and did a few layers over each to see how it reacted with the colors. Interesting copic was intense & more alive. The chalks were both lighter or deeper having to do with how much pigment was in each perhaps and finally the pencil lightened across the board and lightened a lot. All were lovely in their own right with the WOW embossing powder both regular and fine actually giving them all a lovely depth and improved all three media colors. Even though faded out or lightened color pencil work it still was very good. Plan to do a few more experiments with inks and chalk and copic pens too. I'm not great with copic pens or markers but I love chalks. Been playing with pastels since 1966. (A history teacher once scolded me while I was listening to his lecture and coloring my cartoons at the same time but intensely listening to his lecture. I mean I was making straight A's in his class...so guess he hadn't heard about people who actually often do better when doing two tasks at the same time. And yes I was taking notes too but they were off to the side and will HE was not amused and ordered me to put it all away OR ELSE!) I did..as told. And he didn't seem to hold it against me. And it wasn't like I was distracting others from his lectures no other kids were paying me any mind at all. Yeah he also wasn't there when I once tried to turn to him for help as he also substituted as a school counselor. He slammed the door in my face in his office saying he wasn't going to get involved...bang. Adults I felt at this age of 17 that it was my job to work around the problem ones. I outsmarted my trouble maker that year though quite the journey. Ended up transferring to another school across the state for my very last 6 weeks of high school my senior year. And that was that even after they refused to correct a mistake on my records sent to my college I was able to fix it my second year of college tracking down what was missing from my transcripts. I wasn't in those days allowed to actually see my transcripts in college but the clerk said I'm going to step away for a moment and I'll be back in a few minutes. My BFF was with me and we looked at each other and grabbed the huge book and turned it around and within seconds I found the missing class and transcript error. We turned the book back around the lady returned and I thanked her for her help and we were off. I sometimes wish I had the same chutzpah I had in my youth...somehow not as strong these days. But I still believe it's my job to outsmart those who like to throw walls up and make it a win win for all involved. Watching you try interesting things & play outside the basic rules just bolsters my path and makes me smile inside. YOU go girl and never apologize for your path..it's just lovely. Thanks for sharing. Learning is a life long path and it's fun to learn.

Embossing powders can really compliment other mediums 🥰 he didn’t sound like the best teacher and certainly not a good counsellor, in the UK it was like that back in the day, I don’t even think we had counsellors. Just a touch of tiny splatter in the white area above and below the sentiment would be cool on the three butterfly card. I love it! These colors inspire me and make me happy! I just reorganized every ink pad by color not divided by party and spa because there were so many colors I didn’t even know I had and it’s more colors for blending tonal cards. Finally caught up on all the colors. I printed and laminated a color wheel for you. I thought since you sent have a laminator you may not have them. Do you? If not I’ll send you them. They have the new colors on them and are laminated. Let me know.

Not that you ever ask for a tip or my opinion, but I have many stacks of those done blender containers that I keep my domes in for my distress oxides. I found a perfect way to make a 3piece label with the actual color for that container and one for each side of the distress oxides. I’m sure someone has a better idea, but I used the address labels that are a bit bigger for the recipient, approx .5”x2”. I used the blender and colored each label with all the oxides. Let dry a couple days or overnight. Then use distress glaze and go for ver them all so if you grab your ink pad or stack of containers with wet hands you won’t change the color. Wipe of excess gently with paper towel. Then cut into 2 equal size strips for an ink pad and one for stack the blender goes into. If you want to write the name do that first then ink and glaze or it’s too waxy and won’t write. It works wonderfully!! I need to do CP inks now!
I did make labels, but they keep peeling off, I need to add another form of glue 🥴🥴🥴🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson if my edges peeled on some I just put tape runner on. But mine have stayed really well.

I don’t think it’s you that’s not good at blending. From what I’ve seen those inks (beautiful colours) are rubbish at blending 🤷
I honestly think it’s was my domed foams, I’ve use CP inks with my blending brushes and they’re fab 🥰🥰
