Filmed at DosOffTrack bicycle workshop located in the centre of Girona Old Town. Girona is a cycling paradise known for incredible riding and being home to professional and amateur cyclists alike. It's a popular destination for cycling holidays and is used by teams such as Jumbo-Visma, EF-Education First Pro Cycling, and Israel Premier-Tech for rider testing and pro cycling team training camps.

Great taste! I bought a BMC SLR01 a few months ago here in California. The bike is a piece of art: ghost black, Di2 12 speed, 25mm GP5000s on DY Arc 1650s. Dream build for sure.

Sweet ride! I loved watching the build. Good job Boris! I look forward to visiting your shop in Girona someday. I just built up my 2023 SLR01 ONE. I was between sizes and went with the smaller 56 instead of 58. I'm curious how much saddle-to-bar drop you have? what's your bb center to seat top height? Stem length of your sweet ICS Carbon aero bar? Saddle setback? Saddle tip to bars? Thx.🙂

Oh no when I saw how the rear cage is removed it reminded me of how the SRAM derailleurs had the same design before Etap. That’s a design fault as the bolt wears the shaft and over time the cage won’t spring back. I’m sticking with 11 sp
I’ve ridden 15,000 kilometers with this design and had no issues at all.
Shimano has used this design for a while now, for it's 11 speed derailleurs as well. The load of the shaft is not placed on that pin. I don't think that pin is touching the shaft under normal use, not meaningfully anyway. 👍👍

(Sorry for any bad English) I got a Bmc, I honestly barely know about how to provide maintainance in a bike, I honestly would love to take my bike and change and fix things when needed. However, when I see such a huge quantity of tools that I don’t know or can’t pay, I feel like it is almost impossible to learn how to do it myself.

Thanks man. You don’t need all these tools to work on your bike..start with just the basics and you can do a lot. A set of Allen keys is a good place to start.

Thanks man, glad you liked it. I can’t pull myself away from the Monchasseral’s for most of my riding. They’re just so light and enjoyable to spin up climbs with. For racing, it’ll definitely be these ARC 1100’s or LUN Hyper 50’s.

Well spotted. The one we installed ended up having a small leak and I only brought two to the workshop with me. Disappointing not to have Tubolito’s front and rear but I’ll swap it out before my first ride shortly.

As much as I despise the marketing of aerodynamics in bikes when they all have rounded, squared tubes, I do have to admit that these rounder, edgy looking designs make them look much more appealing than an all-out aero bike.
The 'design language' of BMC makes me take them as like the Bugatti of road bikes

Thanks Don. This is BMC bar tape. It’s very comfortable but they don’t sell it individually. The closest I’ve found is Ergon BT Road tape. Hope that helps 🙏🏼

What bar tape is that? Is it banded or it's BMC house made? Can I find it somewhere to buy?
Thanks mate 🙏🏼 This is BMC’s own bartape. It’s excellent, but only available with their bikes. If you want something similar check out Ergon BT Road 2mm. I’ve since swapped from the stock bartape to this and found it feels very similar. Thanks again!

Thanks Frank. The bar tape is directly from BMC. Super comfortable. The puncture protection on the tyres is okay: not amazing, but not noticeably bad. But they roll very well for the price and grip in the dry is excellent.
Comment on the tires, notice these are setup with tubes. With the majority of pro teams now running tubeless, what’s been your experience and opinion for the road bike. What are the rest of your BMC colleagues running? Awesome bike!

I would have change the chian with a knc and the chainring with the carbon Ti and the steel bolt into Ti or Al.. to be really dreemy...

Hi,how do you compare this pair of wheels with the Mon Chasseral? Thanks.
These are definitely faster, but noticeably heavier and get blown around in the wind more. I prefer the Mon Chasseral for general riding and climbing, but will use these for races and once they are above 37kph they feel effortless to keep moving 👌🏼
@@tristantakevideo Thank you. Downhill do you feel them more stable and “easy” to drive than the Mon Chasseral?
Once they get momentum they hold it much better, so downhill for sure

We did! First a round of turpentine, then one of alcohol. Let it dry, apply wax!!

What is the difference between the 2022 and the 2023?
Deeper wheels, different colour, the option of different handlebars and I’ve put some custom parts on it.

Great bike and great build. But shouldn’t you where a mask when cutting the steerer. Carbon dust is bad for the lungs, and probably you are cutting more than 1 fork

Nice bike. Confusing low end American Classic tire choice given the willingness to spend on the rest of the bike.
American Classic have supported me with tyres throughout 2022 and they’ve been nothing but great. Don’t let the price affect your opinion of them..as a winter training and all round tyre, they’re excellent.

Very curious how that handlebar compares to the previous one.
One ride in and it’s already notably more aero. Narrower width suits my shoulders perfectly and when tucked in tight it helps give such a small frontal area. Can’t wait to race the thing!

Deberias usar mascarilla y/o algun metodo para evitar inhalar el polvo del carbono al cortar el tubo de la horquilla. Eso si, no te falta ni una herramienta del catalogo de park tool.
