  • Last summer I went on a trip to the UK where I had a variety of interesting experiences. While I was there, I took a workshop to learn to make chainmaille at the Weald and Downland Museum near Chichester. It's a very interesting place with lots of old buildings to explore, and they do some very interesting workshops as well. If I didn't live so far away, I'd spend lots of time there I think.

How fun! I loved hearing about your learning mindset and how you made progress with making chainmail. So inspiring! I love the block print you made of the knight with the chainmail frame! I would love to see your travel sketchbook 😍

Thanks. Not sure why my sketchbook hasn’t made it into any of the videos yet. I will have to remember to get it out soon

Lovely to see how you are experimenting with different technikes. Not bad mastering chain mailles and spinning, not bad at all👋🥰 Nice portrait of a knight, good facial expression and colour combination☺️🙏

Thanks for taking us along on your creative journey. I'm always amazed and inspired by your art work and stitching. Watching this video made me want to try turning paper clips into chainmail! 😂

Cool. I came a really across a channel that’s all about making chainmaille from paper clips. I can’t remember the channel name though

I do enjoy listening to your experiences and discoveries and re-discoveries on your way…. ❤❤ And it’s beautiful and paramount the country’s concern on keeping up forgotten handicraft…😊😊😊

This was so interesting for me to watch - that you learned to make chain mail!! Your ongoing sharings about your trip to the UK are so fascinating!!
When my daughter was a teenager, she used to make chain mail, and I never did really find out how she did it, but I’m going to share this video with her and I think she may be quite delighted !! ❤
