What I think a lot of people mean by "Be your self" is don't fake interest in something, or pretend to be something you're not. For instance I (Like most people who are on this video) am a bit of a nerd, but I never on a first date went into a longwinded recap of one piece, or ranted about lord of the rings. Instead I talked about how the lord of the rings trilogy is my favorite movie series of all time because of all the behind the scenes stuff made me realize how much went into film making and made me fall in love with really any creative media. I talked about the stuff that interested me.
To me this is much better than pretending to be interested in something you are not, because you can find your self in a relationship without any sort of common interest.
Good tip. Honesty is so much easier than trying to pretend you’re someone else. And when you’re honest about yourself, you know the other person more or less knows who you are and you can freely be yourself (because you’re not pretending), you enjoy the relationship so much more.
This! The fun part about all this shit is you just need to learn presentation that’s what makes language and communication so amazing. The biggest thing is to actually care about the person you are talking to and trying to tie it into something they are interested in.
The problem is, there are many nerds who are narcissists.
When meeting new girls and consequently going on a first date with them I don't think "God I hope she likes me". Instead I think "God I hope I end up liking her". And I'm not talking about looks here.
That's from an advice I read somewhere a while back and following it has completely changed the entire experience of dating into something so much more positive for me. Changing your focus from trying to be liked into trying to understand who the person in front of you is and to find a mutually interesting connection for you both does miracles for dispelling all those pesky insecurities and fears.
This can honestly be applied to anything social related, not just dating women. Nowadays I can actually make people laugh from time to time, even though I struggled making eye contact until a couple of years ago.
@@InkStep It's been a while since a first date for me, but you're right, you put that much better than I did. I think people just get caught up, in how they look/act, when at least from my experience worst case scenario (At least for guys, There are much worse case scenarios for girls) you just won't ever see that person again.

I don't trust women that I are only willing to get with me after I am well established. They are willing to be with you during the good times, but are nowhere to be seen when you are struggling. What if you get a injury or you lose your job, ETC. Who is to say these women will stick with you instead of jumping ship? I met my fiancé when we were both in college without a penny to our names, and we struggled together for 8 years. Now I'm finishing up medical school and she just started working as a PA. I trust her with my life because she stuck with me through all the uncertainty. She never gave up at me through my struggles, and I did the same for her. That is the type of woman you want to marry. Someone who is willing to run the marathon with you instead of just poaching the winners at the finish line. Forget the superficial, what you need is someone who is willing to stand by you when all the chips are down.

The best advice here is find a niche. For example, the 8 to 6/10 ones, that's your money play baby! Also, move around a lot, try different things, for example salsa clases, maybe some going to the club or a chess group, whatever, and surround yourself with friends, even the nerdy unfuckable ones. Basically, if you are constantly knowing new people in your life odds are you are meeting girls. And if you don't want to meet people, that's a you problem, you can still make a lot of money as an anti-social jaded professional and anything short than that and you are a loser...

Long-time female viewer of the channel here, I watched this whole video because I was curious to see if you would capture the key reason women aren't dating younger men. There are some valid points here, but the key reason behind this was missed by a million miles. Yes, grooming and good hygiene matter to women. Yes, emotional maturity matters. Yes, being passionate about a hobby and striving for growth matters. Yes, even height matters to most women even though it shouldn't and there's nothing men can do to control their height. But the biggest reason I see women refusing to date younger men is because of rampant misogyny. So many young men treat women as machines that they can put gifts and kind gestures into and then receive sex as a result. So many young men try to control their girlfriends, behave in a jealous and disrespectful manner, expect their girlfriends to participate in painful sex acts, the list goes on and on and on. Older men often do these things too, but at least they've learned how to comb their hair and clean underneath their fingernails. And the saddest thing is that tons of guys out there believe that they're not misogynists because they are attracted to women and want to be in a loving relationship when in reality their behaviour is wildly disrespectful.
I thought the point of this video was for guys who aren’t even succeeding at attracting girls I the first place. I don’t see how you could be controlling your gf if you don’t have one in the first place. I also find it hard to believe that more young men today than any other generation in human history are misogynistic when I’d like to think you would find very few that don’t agree with equal rights for women and men (maybe I’m wrong but I’ve never met anyone that wasn’t a religious nutcase that thought women genuinely deserve worse treatment or fewer rights than men, and ironically those misogynistic religious dudes all still had wives so their sexism wasn’t preventing them from getting relationships). Obviously we both have our anecdotal experiences but I can’t say that I’ve ever seen any correlation whatsoever between sexism and relationships/ lack there of. In fact often the guys who don’t get any success with girls are that precisely because they’ve put women on such a pedestal in their mind that they’re too shy or nervous to even try talking to them.
The whole treating women as machines where they put in gifts and kind gestures into in exchange for sex has a female equivalence. I'm sure you at least heard of a girl where she is in a casual relationships with some guy and she is just hoping that if she put in enough sex that he will be willing to make her his long term girlfriend. Also the nice guys don't just want sex, they want love and a long term relationship don't get it twisted. Men offer up resources while women offer up sex, but in the end they are all looking for long term relationship.
