This song, Suckerpunch, was one of my most favorite songs and videos from the old days of the Head Banger's Ball. I absolutely loved this band and this song! For the longest time I could not find it and regretted not being able to hear it again. I finally found an old VHS where I had this saved, looked it up online and here it is! So happy to watch this again and again. It brings back lots of great memories. Love you guys.
I was at this gig, London Astoria if I'm not mistaken. I remember Ginger letting us know it was gonna be the video. I also remember the camera man running around with some old skool hand held camera. Awesome gig.
Yeah! Must have been around 2000 when I watched this video the first time! I was 15 and I had a VHS with MTV‘s headbangers ballroom with a donnington special and this video was in that episode! Cool to see it again! Reminds me so much on my youth!!! Thank you!!!
I'm pretty sure that I saw this band supporting Alice in chains at Brixton academy possibly 1993! Omg! So long ago, but I remember trying to learn their songs on the way down there on the train, haha 😆😂 Amazing gig though! Thank you 😘
Such a great song. I saw this back on 120 Minutes or perhaps Headbangers Ball on MTV when I was in high school and went out to purchase the album. Still loving it after all these years.
Had tickets to see these guys in Nottingham rock city in 97/98. They did a last minute gig in Cleethorpes at a small venue where I was living at the time, ended up getting drunk at the venue all day, ginger came for a chat then Danny hung out with us, got really drunk, threw up on stage. Awesome day, next day at Nottingham was feeling a little sensitive 😂
@@michaelcamm1863 he's not in the vid but he played on the track. Ritch is a great drummer no doubt but Stidi brings something different altogether. He lives and breathes drums, great vocals and is a pretty good songwriter with a great ear for melody, if you don't mind me saying??
What a great great song!!! I remember first seeing this on the HBB in the US in 93. They should've been huge here!! Definitely the soundtrack after you get your head back on straight after wasting time in a dead end relationship!! I was definitely the asshole of the year haha
Just rediscovered this gem when cleaning out the CDs in my garage. Never knew this song was about getting over a chick. Back in 93 it was almost impossible to get hold of lyrics. My only regret with this track was it was the only song on the album with that new industrial sound that was so cool in the 90s; I thought the rest of it sounded too 80s for the time.
can't believe that I got so down I dropped my guard again hit me! hit me! palpitations and goo-goo eyes, the transformation is sad and sickly she pulled out a Tyson from out of the blue, and met with a sickening crunch CHORUS: she got me... woah, she got me she got me... with a suckerpunch senses reeling from too much shit, I hit the floor again, panic, panic! calm and cold as a witches tit, sometimes I think I act cosmically with all of the shit that flew out of my lips, there's no use in asking much CHORUS: she got me... woah, she got me she got me... with a sucker... sucker... sucker... waah, you fucker! (one... two... three... four...) {mosh!} why I see her face in a million stars, I'm wondering thought I had good taste 'til I found I'd none at all nearly did appear as the asshole of the year and then she strikes... and now I'm back, the guy I've been, before the idiot sat in can't believe that I got so down, it probably happens on a daily basis many millions of messed up minds compete to win in the loser races peeling my mind like she's one of a kind, or maybe just out to lunch CHORUS: she got me... woah, she got me she got me... with a suckerpunch
She pulled out a Tyson from out of the blue
And met with a sickening crunch what a line.
It’s a belter! 👌
Donington 94,covered in mud from the waist down, pissed up,oh yes those were the days.

How this does not have at least a million views is beyond me
This band never ceases to amaze me!!!!!
It was the Kentish Town forum. I was there and it was mental.
Saw them at Roadmender in Northampton, supported by Therapy. One of the best gigs of my life.

Billy Morrison brought me here (from his show on Ozzy's Boneyard), and I'm glad he did!

Terrific beating sound fixes my brain.

Came looking for another song and found this one instead. Glad I did. Cheers!
How I survived them at the Newcastle Polytechnic Students Union, I'll never know. Played for hours, two encores, I had whiplash for days.
Holyshit! I can't believe Peter Christopherson directed this video.. RIP🙏✋✌

Still the best Ace Of Spades rip-off EVER.
Now listen to miles away girl by them.
'Wish' by Nine Inch Nails sounds like this a bit too
Suckerpunch > Ace Of Spades (sorry)
The drummer even looks like Philthy! 😂
1993
Охуенная группа! Обожаю их! 🤘
Did someone say 'Motörhead'?
Motörhead doesn’t even come close!

Would you like me to load the son Mary?
Roll him over the gate you wally
Suckerpunch:
Hey Evelyn, I bet you’re wonderin’ what I’m gonna do
Let it go or follow through
Still undecided, sorry for the long delay
But it looks like you won’t get your way
Verse 1b.
Hey Evelin, never expected it, even with those
Rumours that were being spread
You believed them, put the blame on me
You were wrong you made a big mistake
Chorus.
Get your girls lined up, get the story straight
Do you remember the big scene you made?
Why did you do it honey? Let me remind you
It went something like
1,2 sucker punch
2nd verse.
Hey Evelyn, are you regretting it?
You know the drama could’ve been prevented
Would you take it back if you had the chance?
I’m sure we could’ve worked it out
Chorus.
Get your girls lined up, get the story straight
Do you remember the big scene you made?
Why did you do it honey? Let me remind you
It went something like
1,2 sucker punch
Bridge.
There’ll be a resolution
Some kind of restitution
Your judgment day in court is coming real soon
Okay wait..
So, this is all because you heard from your friend
Who heard from their friend
That I said something bad about you to someone
Who told someone else, who told someone else?
What? Are you kidding me?
Chorus.
Get your girls lined up, get the story straight
Do you remember the big scene you made?
Why did you do it honey? Let me remind you
It went something like
1,2 sucker punch
Get your girls lined up, get the story straight
Do you remember the big scene you made?
Hey Evelin, you know it’s not right
To go around punching people in the face
