  • Another two trips to Cardiff airport and these two were highly successful well sort of. On the 16th of November, the Landor 744 was scheduled to depart from CWL back to Heathrow and back into service. I and mate decided to head up to try our luck in seeing it. It soon became apparent that she wasn't going anywhere due to suspected cracks in wings. let's hope everything can be fixed and returns to skies. Despite this, we saw a few interesting things. the highlight of that day was Qatar 787. Then on Monday, I went up again this time for something special. On Sunday the Honeywell 757-200 came in. I found out it was due to be there for a week of testing flying between CWL and Vienna. This was testing wifi. Among that, there was a Wizz air A320 carrying in the Hungarian football team. Also, a BA 777-300er doing engine power runs. Check out the low-pressure conditions and water being soaked up. Insane power of those GE90's at full throttle seeing the wings shake was something else. Another surprise was a Lufthansa C525 doing some circuits. It was also the first time I had seen a Ryanair 737-800 at Cardiff. Overall It was a pleasant couple of days at Cardiff. Also on Monday, the weather was brilliant which made it even better. Fantastic.
