This, in my opinion, is one of the best specific animation tutorials I have ever seen. Instead of a paragraph I will just list everything I like (in kinda order of most appreciated) 1: Explains process (and more importantly) hotkeys/button/plugins at time of use. 2: Opts for easy to read and timely text which allows for timelapse and easier comprehension compared to a voiceover, which might stutter, sidetrack, or add unnecessary fluff onto an otherwise we'll executed video. 3: Is dense, ie: Doesn't waste time, gets to the point without losing any content. 4: Demonstrates process in fast motion, including EVERYTHING, preferring to spend a minute laying out essentials rather than assuming the person looking for a tutorial knows what they are doing. 5: Encourages different styles, just laying a groundwork instead of beating complex irrelevant steps into the tutorial.

How does the animated muzzle flash work? I tried adding the muzzle flash in its own layer, but nothing happens in later frames, however when I double click the sprite it shows the 3 muzzle flash frames
an issue that i have, I use flash 8 and i use KPRR's sprites, any gun sprite's actually. When I try to animate them by selecting them all clicking distribute to layers, It just won't animate the gun. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but if you do know please let me know, this is an issue that i've been having.

if you are still looking (prob not) although this IS flash, you can get any version from cs1 to cs6 on a website called animate archive. Just make sure the serial number is there so you can actually “log in”

Hey, I'm making an animation for me and my friends to enjoy and i really want to know, How do you transfer any object into a different layer placement? Example: i want to get my character through a door and the door opens, my character's behind the background, everything's good. But once i set foot on the background, my character's foot phases through the background and goes into the actual frame and i can't fix it.
flash cs6 or above is better than flash 8 due to its age, if you use FL8 you cant use files from cs6 or cc given its an entirely new version of actionscript for those softwares

You're supposed to animate everything (The gun, the slide, ammo, and hand) in 1 layer.

you have to delete the trail on the next frame, f7 creates a blank frame

flash cs6 or above is better than flash 8 due to its age, if you use FL8 you cant use files from cs6 or cc given its an entirely new version of actionscript for those softwares
