Guys I posted a short of the keyboard sound now. I changed keycaps and made some minor tweaks to make the spacebar sound less hollow, let me know what you think !
@@JohnCena-ol8si for the changes.. well I lubed the stabilisers a bit more , and I also got creative bcos someone said the space bar sounded hollow before, so I used a few strips of cotton pads that I cut and used masking tape to stick under the space bar. It made it a bit heavier and less hollow!
@SpecBench I kind of like the stock switches, do you recommend I just case swap, tape mod, lube the switches + stabilizers a bit more? Is there any cases other than the tofu redux you would recommend? I've heard some stuff about drunkdeer having some cases, but im not sure..
@@Convexly yeah i think the stock switches are fine, i think if you case swap, tape modde lube switches and stabs itlll be fine! im not too sure about cases! ive seen people use drunkdeer for the mad68r
Nice clack. Only bad thing about most HE keyboard is how most of them sounds hollow, could be because of how the switches were designed for HE? But overall it's great!

I just googled and found your video for the exact reason you had, thr switches are impossible to take them out of the keyboard with the pcb/plate installed. Im going to have to take it apart to swap out the switches I think. Love the Tofu redux case and I regret not getting the brass weight.

@ I have built just under a dozen custom mechanical keyboards and I have a “fancy” switch puller and was getting no where. I literally googled if you could remove thr switches from this keyboard and your video popped up. I was really worried I wasted $50 on GEON Raw switches for nothing 🫠
@SpecBench Can u try out the dynamic keystrokes and check if the socd is still working and if u can set down the actuation point to 0.02mm for me? would be realyl appricated :)
After changing the switch when using 0.1mm and rapid trigger at 0.02mm, did you feel like just placing your finger on the key and activating it? In this case, did that shake or did that stop the problem? They say that if you change the switch this no longer happens.
I'm planning to buy this keyboard and change the case to aluminum one but it will cost a little bit and then i found a keyboard with aluminum case itself and it's gonna be a lot cheaper hehe
@SpecBench right? Hahahaha and the kb i just saw with aluminum case is only £55, the brand itself is still not revealing or have a video of the actual model but someone is selling it so maybe I'll try to pre order one.

I can’t complain with that lmao. Even if my mad60 only lasts me 1-2 years.. I’d probably still buy it again because it’s like £30😂if it breaks soon I’ll swap it out for a wooting board most likely.

@ I asked a seller at where i live and he said u can put the gat to mad60 but cannot use rapid trigger, cuz the pcb of mad60 is not made to compatible with gat, my version is 1k and i rly want to try gat on my board
@SpecBench the original switch is rly fine except the wobbles of it. i've tried atk switch G, TTC Kom in made68 pro and this "axis pro" and i cant even tell any difference between these switch, the only thing i can tell the sound of it 🤣
13:37 it is a common problem for this keyboard. Very cheap plate) I've already bent 1 switch leg and some switches are not working good, they think, they are pressed by 0.21 mm)
@@egbad yeah I did see a video of a guy who struggled so much with taking them out when modding That he had to remove the backplate so he had access to the rear of the pcb lmao
@@capnnutty806 a Hall effect keyboard is also known as a magnetic switch keyboard, it uses sensors and magnets to detect the key presses, instead of physical connection. When you see keyboards with rapid trigger and adjust actuation , these are Hall effect keyboards ( HE)
@@godown1608 working fine. Someone else commented saying “it doesn’t work on this PCB with gateron jade switches. I tested the rapid trigger at lowest setting and highest and could instantly tell how much more I had to lift the key to re activate again
@SpecBenchits the switches using the magnets to tell the pbc when and when not to register a key press it might be placebo but if the jades are in fact hall effect switches then it works like normal
@SpecBench a lot of people saying the board will fry if you have the egg full brightness and solid colour for long periods of time but I’ve been chancing it so far roughly a month without the so called “overheating” issue
@SpecBench i got it like about a month ago now and it has been acting up since last week :/ i have to recalibrate the keys every day, the W key is also very sticky i’m guessing because of the factory lubing… idk what ima do with it now xD

Ngl I still hear that resonance from the spacebar, maybe putting foam on the keycap would help

on my original switch when I touch the key even without pressing it activates when it is at 0.1mm.

It’s plug and play yeah. But to adjust the actuation etc you would need to plug it into some sort of pc/laptop
