    Well, thank you for the instructions on how to cook thighs and rice without ruining either.
    The liquid to rice ratio was what was needed and the pressure cook time. I wanted to cook a whole meal including veggies so I added chicken stock or bone broth instead of water and added sliced carrots and spinach to the rice and stock.
    I let the chicken drip in to to water as I didn’t have that pan. The extra pan made this video hard to replicate but it was less a recipe and more of a guideline.
    The result was the best tasting rice I’ve ever had. The chicken flavor and the veggies mixed in the rice was like the best tasting risotto I’ve ever had. That was a surprise.
    The music….. cure for insomnia for sure. Lots of skipping to actual instructional parts but that’s RUclips. It’s your choice to make whatever types of editing you want. Thank you.

    The music made me feel like if I was at church, and the pastor got side tracked with a cooking analogy... and at the end of service we all knew the steps on how to cook Chicken Thighs and Jasmine Rice at the same time in a Ninja Foodi. Amen.

    Fast question you said that you were going to leave the water in the pot and start to air crisp the chicken I read that you should drain the water after you pressure cook and before you air crisp because you really are steaming when you leave the water in

    Thank you for making this video.
    The foodi is new to me and so is pressure cooking. Could you just cook the rice at the bottom in the standard pan and then cut some of the fat off the chicken and still cook them on the rack? Does it need more water for the pressure cooking?

  • @chadmorin5657
    @chadmorin5657 3 года назад

    I just tossed the veggies in with the rice. Why use water or cover the rice if you do? Stock is flavorful. I’m speculating that, especially if you don’t use stock and opt for water to cook your rice, the drippings will give the rice, stock flavor, in fact it will be stock but homemade. Might want to not cover rice and use less water.
    Also, quick question, when my foodi is done with the pressure, it goes to keep warm. Do you naturally release with it on stay warm or does yours turn off heat. Seems like keep warm would keep cooking it?
