Great video, just in time as I start my Harrogate Hut frame tomorrow. Did you secure the frame to the base by screwing through the frame and osb to your joists ? When will part 2 be uploaded?
Hey thanks 🙂 I went round the perimeter and put in as many screws as I could reach from the under side to pull the frame to the OSB. The OSB was then screwed to the frame from inside along every joist. And the sheathing on the outside was also screwed into the frame. Next parts been delayed as I caught COVID so have had zero energy for anything :( A tip from someone who has done it wrong though: make sure your hut ribs are all lined the same way with the roof wire hole lining up, and pilot hole everything 🙂
Oh, um I'm not sure, it was one of the reasons we went with a full frame and roof kit - to avoid needing to do that calc as I got it wrong on the workshop build before this one :) I seem to recall Harrogate huts has full schematics deep in their build guides somewhere
ah, do you mean you didn’t like the music or was it too loud in places? I watched it back recently and I’d agree there is one section where the music doesn’t turn down low enough.
fair point, talking and telling whats going on is useful and in later videos i do more of that, but the timelapse serves a purpose: to get on with the job at hand without slowing down for camera and retakes, some of this big repetative work only has so much of a story to tell. i think at this point i only really had the timelapse camera and mobile phone with no active stabilisation on it, so options were limited in equipment too.
Music is great.

Music spoils it.

I miss videos that include talking. Tell folks what and how you are building 😢
