Todd Rundgren The Verb "To Love" HQ with Lyrics in Description

Track 11 from his seventh album “Faithful” released in 1976 copyright Bearsville Records. Todd decided that modern popular music should be treated the same as European classical music with the songs being performed exactly as written every time with no variations. He extended this idea to the recording studio and set out to record covers of some of his favourite songs while exactly duplicating the instrumentation and production of the original recordings. The impressive results were “faithful” to the original versions and make up the first half of the album. The second half consists of new original songs that most critics compared favourably to the material on his breakthrough album “Something/Anything.” It received above average reviews and reached No. 54 on the Billboard chart.
