11:13 Fun fact, Saban wasn’t the first to attempt this format, the late Stan Lee himself actually tried back in the early 80’s with one of the Sentai’s marvel co produced(it’s a long story but the important part is Spider-Man is the reason we have megazords in power rangers)
@arnauddiara-vo9jk I just learned that one today and other comps were over an 1hr long and that would be an overload at the time but I'll do all of the super sentai series and split it up next time
@@VenomousReactions Shotaro Ishinomori created the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai franchises. Later, Saban tried to adapt both of them, Kamen Rider for Knight Rider & Masked Rider while Super Sentai for PR. Both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai have crossovers with previous seasons also with franchise crossovers too. Check out the Super Sentai endings. Their ending is crazy while adding some more personality to the characters. Both the heroes and the villains get to burst out their dance moves! 🕺💃 Personally, my favorite is Ninja Sentai Kakuranger’s ending (alien ranger) because even the regular evil henchman/mooks burst out their own dance moves and doing free style too! 😂
great reaction man! Unfortunately the video you watched cut specifically from the 1991 series to the 2005 series. Super Sentai has been around since 1975 and is still going strong to this day!
@yorozuya4eversakata937 I noticed but I'll do another one down the line and split them up into parts. My apologies. This comp was more up to a certain point
" Where's the Green Ranger?" In Super Sentai, the sixth ranger, typically makes his or her debut around the 15th episode. Depending on what episode you are on, you might see the sixth in the opening; the reason for that is so that they will not spoil the sixth ranger in the opening.
@@VenomousReactionsalso in the early season of Sentai having sixth rangers they were never in the opening credits. Zyuranger, Dairanger, Ohranger, Megaranger, Timeranger never changed the opening credits to show the sixth ranger. I think they were listed in the writing but gaoranger showing the wolf ranger was the first time they did it.
Great video! I’ll add I think they nearly made Jetman the first Power Rangers. I read that Marvel nearly adapted one of the late 70s or early 80s Sentai. I also saw where a live action Japanese Spiderman was where the whole genre started.
Honestly I think this video was perfect for you as a Power Rangers fan as it spoke to your era and showed you a little of what came before. I enjoyed the reaction and if it ends here, honestly really appreciate the vibes you've given. BUT As said, it has been running since 1975 and has not stopped to even today. So if you choose to look into the rest, I'd enjoy seeing your thoughts. There's even videos to show the Japanese versions of VR Troopers, Beetleborgs, Masked Rider, Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, all that. Like VR Troopers was made of three different Japanese shows and Masked Rider has been running from 1971 to today, the reason why Sentai exists and by that, Power Rangers.
with responses like these, i'm definitely intrigued on checking out the older and modern openings at some point but gotta get through my other reactions but will be doing a next recording session with another super sentai reaction, just not sure how to execute it yet, may do all and split it into parts or search for other compilations with just those, but it's in the works my man so stay tuned!!
@@VenomousReactions I'll be glad to look into it! I think you can agree it's fun seeing there's a whole other world to what we love, not as another side or a replacement, but simply more of what we enjoy. It's one of the reasons I love Sentai so much, we already love Power Rangers but you're telling me there's a Japanese alternative to what I've seen, more of it by far, longer openings, longer endings, movies, stage plays, concerts and if I don't enjoy a season like Turbo or Alien Rangers (Not me saying that but community opinions) then I can watch their counterparts in Carranger & Kakuranger, I'm sorted. Ironically the Japanese versions of Alien Rangers, Turbo, Super Megaforce, seasons not well liked in Power Rangers are beloved classics over there. In Space saved the franchise in Power Rangers but Japanese Turbo saved Super Sentai. Sorry to be long winded, you can tell I'm passionate about the topic lol
14:10 Mega Silver A.K.A Space Silver original version is one of the most badass sixth rangers in Super Sentai. His suit is a prototype of the main Mega Ranger's suits (Red, Black, Blue, Yellow and Pink). Because of that, he can only use his powers and transformation into Mega Silver for about 5 minutes until he turns back to normal, but, even with only 5 minutes, damn, he puts the villains in their place!
1:28 Choujin Sentai Jetman was the Sentai that Saban wanted to start the power rangers franchise with but he couldn't get the rights to that particular sentai so he had to settle for the next series Koryu Sentai Zyuranger, this in a way a double edge sword as Many fans of Sentai (including me) say that Jetman is the best series in the super sentai franchise but with Zyuranger starting the idea of a 6th ranger if mmpr had started with jetman we likely would never have had Tommy Oliver and the world may never have even heard of Jason David Frank.
The Battleizers for the Red Rangers in Power Rangers is a Power Ranger exclusive until Dekarangers (SPD) did their own and Power Rangers used their footage and added an extra mode too.
Super sentai openings in the video: Jetman: "Choujin Sentai Jetman" by Hironobu Kageyama Zyuranger: "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" by Kenta Satou Dairanger: "Gosei Sentai Dairanger" by Hirokazu Umeda (as NEW JACK Takurou) Kakuranger: "Secret Kakuranger" by Tu Chi Chen Ohranger: "Ole! Ohranger" by Kentarou Hayami Carranger: "Gekisou Sentai Carranger" by Naritaka Takayama Megaranger: "Denji Sentai Megaranger" by Naoto Fuuga, MEGA MICKEY Gingaman: "Seijuu Sentai Gingaman" by Masato Shimon as Ryou Kisao GoGo V (GoGo Five): "Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive" by Shinichi Ishihara (with EVE) Timeranger: "JIKU ~Mirai Sentai Timeranger" by Kumi Sasaki Gaoranger: "Gaoranger Hoero!!" By Hideaki Takatori Abaranger: "Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger" by Masaaki Endoh Dekaranger: "Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger" by Psychic Lover Magiranger: "Mahou Sentai Magiranger" by Takafumi Iwasaki
honestly looking back on this list, the super sentai don't get the flowers from most people but doing this reaction and the responses and education about the series is off the rails and i love it!!!!
For some context Carranger was meant to be a parody season where everything was played for laughs and nothing was taken seriously. Which explains a lot of the stranger elements of Turbo, as they tried to take the intentionally silly Carranger footage and play straight.
real talk, it's a wonderful thing to look back on what birthed the american version of your childhood, much respect to the super sentai version and franchise *hand clap*

that i can understand, sometimes the US version can be cringe at times, but i definitely give praise to the super sentai series for what it stood for and being the initial blueprint for a lot of the US version and can't wait to do Kamen Rider after the fact
Well, you are missing quite a lot of OPs. Not sure if you will watch a full one or some at random. And after that you can do Endings too hehe.

Early on with the sixth rangers they where not added to opening or would only show up in suit its not till the mid 2000s that the sixth ranger was add properly to the openings

Yeah Stan Lee tried to adapt Sun Vulcan back in the 80’s, and there was a parody dub of Dynaman that aired on a show called Night Flight
Did you realise the super sentai franchise exist since 1975 until these days and not just from 1991 to 2005?
