Back in the days when David was a student at the Royal Academy of Music I was one of his pupils - It was an enormous pleasure to sit and watch his technique even as a young man.
Very beautiful! - I love discovering new compositions like this - amazingly performed as always. Thanks to the musicians for deep emotions - also with the solidarity for the people of Ukraine, and all of humanity. Music does help, many thanks.
Excellent recording of wonderful performance. I was at the premiere, at UTDs internarional competion last March and also.ar Olga's talk the night before when she explained the influences. Altogether very satisfying.
Very beautiful piece, a lot of images of the west, the beginning is wide as the open sky. Then I might have heard some mustangs galloping wild and free. And all played by my hero mr Russell, well what else do we need. Thank you for this amazing piece!!! I love it. 🙏🙏
@@olgaamelkinaveracomposer what an honor "talk" to you Olga. Cheers from Brazil, God bless your enlightened mind... When you and David are going to perform together ?? Hope tho see that !
@@olgaamelkinaveracomposer I second with the well done, you're an inspiring, bright spark in today's classical guitar composition community, I love your compositions and can't wait for your future pieces! As corny as it may sound, I want to thank you for your music :)
Magnificent! Aside from the extraordinary dynamics of the piece itself, such wide-ranging technique! it’s the first time I think I’ve seen vibrato in classical guitar that’s lateral to the fretboard rather than parallel to it. And occasionally picking technique to achieve dynamics that seems to be emulating using a plectrum (although there was no close-up to be certain). Truly embracing everything that the guitar offers. Bravo maestro!
Olga what a beautiful composition 🙏❤🙏❤and to have Maestro Russell play it through his Dammann 🙏3 Maestro's well thank you Maestra ❤🙏❤ You could tell David loves this piece. That smile at the end is priceless
Noted that someone thought the beginning sounded Asian. It is not. Rather it is a traditional American song (o bury me not on the lone prarie) that has its origins In a Gaelic lament.
Very nice composition and interpretation! Although I wouldn't associated it with the American West if I hadn't read the explanation...well, that's not important.

Le vi Madrid hace unos días y fue espectacular. Tuvo que salir a saludar 6 o 7 veces y esta fue la última que nos regaló.

Extraordinario, te adaptas a muchos estilos.
Ese sonido que sacas de las guitarras es muy limpio.Maravilloso
I wish I could “like” this more than once. Wonderful

Another piece that utilises this vibrato technique is Sonatina Libre by Dyens (Fuoco), but you're right - a rare sight
Daviciño. Nunca dejarás de sorprenderme. Muchas gracias por emocionarme. Un fuerte abrazo

Modern music
Beautiful. The song is "Oh, Bury Me Not on the LONE Prairie," not Old Prairie!
Thank you for catching that! Will fix it.
@@olgaamelkinaveracomposer no worries! I wasn't trying to be a troll or anything I hope your music is fantastic!

How was this recorded? beautiful tone. Im sure 99% of it is the guitar and your fingers. Listen to those overtones
That's how you play the guitar 😁
No other guitarist in the universe does what he does. The End.
Grisha goryachev is a close second I think
fuck wonderful!
When your guitar is worth more than my car 😫
Sounds Oriental in the beginning. This piece could have been called ""Asian Vista"
