I have mountain biked between Seldovia and Port Graham in 2005, had to o bushwhack through thick alders for miles carrying the bike before finding the trail and subsequent logging roads. As an Alaskan indigenous I am so impressed by Fred’s YT channel , he is giving us a gift through the tradition of storytelling . Alaska is home to many tales and Fred is the perfect orator to share incredible encounters.

Allegeny National Forest is extremely dangerous. Do NOT go in there. You'll either be eaten alive or hunted down and then eaten alive. Neither option is desirable. Do you want to be eaten? Why of course not. So, so please please please 🙏 do NOT go into that forest. If you do, we both understand and know what will happen. Thanks 😊

Yes, his encounter is probably the most terrifying encounter I have ever listened to and I have listened to a lot of Sasquatch encounters through another channel you might want to check out, called "Sasquatch chronicles." Wes Germer, also established his channel after a really terrifying encounter he and his brother had in the Washington state mountains. There was no one to talk to and, they were navigating through all the things that you experience including PTSD, by themselves and thought it would be helpful, not only to them, but others, to establish a forum… Thus, the creation of Sasquatch Chronicles.
Wes, who is not professionally trained, is much like Fred… Their ability to retell stories, and be really good listeners, is indeed rare and unique. They are the only two channels I watch regularly… They don't embellish, and they are not full of themselves!
Really, really enjoy both these channels!

Holy GOD, that is one of the most frightening experiences with a Sasquatch (or Sasquatches?) that I've ever heard of! Imagining being in Michael's shoes out there, alone, exhausted, trying to carry home a load of meat with brown bears dashing around and a TEN FOOT SASQUATCH stalking you, is absolutely chilling! Seriously, I don't know if that guy was more crazy than brave, because I certainly wouldn't have stuck around to hunt and field dress a bear after nearly being taken by Sasquatches the night before; no, I'd have been fleeing at first light(!) but seriously, the courage it must have taken to do all that he did... it's almost superhuman! I'm really glad he lived to tell the tale and that he didn't end up as one of the missing. Thanks to both you, Fred, and to Michael, for sharing. --N

I'm speechless. That was just absolutely incredible, incredible experience. I don't know how that guy held it together. It takes so much out of you. I bet he felt like he was hit by a Mack truck when he was done with that

Fred, your teaching and retelling of these truths are invaluable, especially to those of us who aren't blessed with thousands of years of oral traditions to draw upon. Please continue to tell more First Nations oral history when you can! Also your excellent description of the fine details of place, flora and fauna in the personal stories relayed really bring Alaska alive! Your storytelling has turned me into a student of your Alaskan home. You're truly a trailblazer in examining some of this world's mysteries. With much respect and appreciation, D

I think I should be more scared of Michael, than this Bigfoot! I joke, but seriously... anyone able to get through that experience (and finish the objective, getting bear meat) intact, is a force to be reckoned with.
First time finding this channel, but the way you add the minor details in, Fred, really makes it feel like you are there.

Great story, but even better is your patience with your friend listening to him to retell his story...stroke are tough for some, and can take a long long time to recover.

TY to Michael for allowing us to hear his encounter. What's your thoughts on the helicopter Fred? Do you think military is scouting the hairyman? Take care. Until the next 👍 oh love that stream shot I can just imagine how cold that water is...

I have heard of many encounters involving helicopter activity within hours or days of experiences and I'm not sure what to think at this point, tracking? Controlling? Recess guards? I don't have enough info to really draw any solid speculation lol also the water was very cold, very cold!

I can relate to that shaking. As a woman, when I haven’t been around men that I may not be able to tell at the time that they’re aggressive or capable of hurting me, but sometimes women have like this internal warning device that all of a sudden this fear comes over us. Like a primal fear. That tells us to run and get out of that situation and I can imagine maybe that’s how that man felt as well.

I think one of the reasons Fred is such an amazing storyteller is because he puts himself so much in the experience because he can relate! He's able to imagine it perfectly.. that's why we, his viewers, feel like We too are right in the story!
Plus, he knows the stories down to the fine details. As he's said before, he likes to talk to the interviewee 3 or 4 times. I think he thoroughly emeshes himself into it, ruminating the depth of the story, the emotions of the people who had the experience.
This is a lost art, and takes talent!
I think yt has blacklisted your channel Fred. You should have a Much larger audience by now!! Im sure you will eventually, it will just take more work and a longer time maybe, on your part. But maybe the algo will start working soon for you. You truly deserve it!
(the other good storyteller I'm thinking of is Mr Ballen, and he's got 8+ million subs!! Although he specifically looks for the craziest, creepiest and most shocking stories, ehere yours are everyday people kind of stories and they're not the same thing)
I'll shut up as soon as I Thank you!!!!

** I don't mean everyday type of stories, not at all. They're quite freaky in fact! And the subject matter involved isn't every day at all. But the stories have to draw a certain crowd and not all the stories are the same hard creep factor.

Thank You Micheal for sharing your experience. I will say one thing, you are a very seasoned Hunter. The way you recognized things happening to your Body and was able to push through them, is amazing. I’m glad you got with Fred and told him your Story. I hope it helps you heal from the experience. Nobody can tell a Story as good as Fred does. I can visualize the whole thing like I’m watching it all happen. That’s incredible Fred the way you do that. I’m sorry to hear about your Stroke Micheal. Your a very Tough Man and hopefully that will help you push through. Thanks Fred, what a weird experience with the Helicopter, a big Brown Bear running away scared. Man that’s a Strange thing to go through. 👍👍
