The way the whole audio industry is going everybody will be able to afford top of the line for pennies. The question becomes? Are you able to produce great content that people would like to purchase or stream?Technology has opened worlds to many, content has declined in quality.(just my opinion)

United States colleges can easily afford these because of student loans. They don't need to produce great content when college degrees are a requirement for low paying entry level jobs. Such a great society we live in, right?

It’s no longer enough to produce & record a killer single or album. You’ll have to go grind out on Tour & promote the hell out of it. Just to get noticed. Since anyone can publish music independently now. Music labels no longer hold the same power like they used to. Which means labels can no longer control or filter out which music gets radio airplay or see on television. So it’s becoming harder & harder now to break into the noise. You’ll need to become a viral sensation on social media in order to become a successful musician today. Which is very difficult feat to accomplish. As there are thousands upon thousands of great singers & virtuoso musicians on RUclips. Young kids who could easily run circles at any Pro musicians. You might as well just give up.

@@iMadrid11I agree that it is no longer enough to produce a killer single or album. However, Music Labels are just one piece of a giant media conglomerate controlled by massive companies, and THAT is why it is impossible to break through. I think.

Father one night after AES: Sits down family at dinner table... I don't know how to say this... but I have some bad news. We have to take the kids out of private school and sell our car.
    Kids: Why Dad, what's happening?
    Wife: Yes tell us honey....
    Everyone in suspense!
Father: The Origin is here requesting 50k. The SSL Army will stop at nothing until I pay this fee.... there is no other choice....

Now that this beautiful technology finally becomes affordable, the only thing left is to acquire a strong work ethic. Which is the hard part. If you ask all planetary successful producers, composers, and artists during the last 40 years, from Max Martin over Stock Aitken Waterman back to ABBA, what was the main reason for their success, the answer is always the same. strong work ethics. So folks now you have the tools, you only have to start working like crazy, for days, months, and years and the result will come. It always does. Personal question for any one of us is, is it worth it. If you feel it is, go for it, if not go and find something else that will make you wake up in the morning. But the fact that you are here, it looks like it is worth for the majority of viewers here

Can’t wait for the first RUclipsr to have one of these in their background. I’ll set up a $100,000 patreon tier if you want it to be me.

Maybe quasi real analog studios can make a comeback? API, SSL, RND, Neotek, Audient, Trident, & "Neve", all make nice, relatively affordable analog desks, some automated, some with DAW control, some just pure analog. I would of course track to digital, but just as I would to a reel to reel tape machine, but without the need to crank up the top end EQ. I think of ITB studios & simulation of "music" played by the push of a button(s) akin to plagiarism. Just imagine if people were willing to pay for actual music, & there were budgets to develop new music & artists, but the record lable wasn't such a bunch of greedy assholes. Think of music being recorded live to multitrack again like so many of the best were. "If you build it, they will come." -Studio Of Dreams.

Tons of companies out there and a lot are missing the mark. Since we have settled in the digital age and its not new anymore I see most pro and even amateur studios going the hybrid route as the best option. A analog recording console, with re-call and things like that, to get a warmer origin. Then record right into the digital realm. Then mix in the box with a nice control surface. The smart companies are making analog recording consoles that can be used also as a control surface for amateur studios. The pro studios need different consoles for availability and workflows.
