    I know highlights are floating around out there showing the winner from this year's world's, but the Jomez coverage is just so G.O.A.T'ed that I saved this moment to watch the conclusion. With Big Sexy commentary there was no denying that this would be a great watch. A huge congratulations goes to the coverage team for this. It's no simple feat to crank out so much content this quickly - so huge kudos from someone who truly loves disc golf. You give this sport the best platform possible.

    So much maturity and class on display with all these top tier players today. No melt downs, cursing or bad tempers. The mental part of the game is overlooked and the physical skills are too often given the highlights instead. Hats off to the very young guns and Calvin too for putting a stable and gentlemanly countenance to the sport. These young men are heroes that boys and elders can be proud of.

      The meltdowns generally happen right after a bad shot and yes, some of it gets cut out. I'm just saying that the players on this card are to be respected for their composed mature attitudes. It's refreshing to not see a bunch of negative mental self talk and emotional immaturity. I remember years ago when Jerm used to stomp the ground hard after a bad shot. He quickly got rid of that useless kind of outburst. Maturity.

My theory is that the rocky nature of the green(plus the slope) doesn't allow the center pole enough leeway to absorb the impact of the disc, and so it sends it back through the disc. Now that he's got the distance, he just uses it so strategically. He played this tournament like a master strategist. He knew when to be aggressive and when to be conservative. It's not like he wasn't challenged either. Day 4 on his front 9 he was one over. He could have fallen apart. But then he goes 7 under on the back 9. Incredible.

    Several things to comment on:
    1) Jomez, you guys are OUTSTANDING in your editing and production!!! Jeremy, Nate, and when Paul is a announcer, It just doesn't get better. You guys could put this production straight on ESPN if they would use it, AS IT IS. Absolutely First Class.
    2) It was an overall outstanding tournament. I loved BOTH courses. For people to call the second course boring is ridiculous. I'm just a typical very average player, and I can tell the skill it takes to get the distances and hit the gaps and land INBOUNDS. Plus, it was an absolutely beautiful course.
    3) I love Innova, and have been a player that exclusively uses Innova disks. With that said, I love their baskets too, HOWEVER, they are known for bad spit outs with the current design. When a player hits the basket pole DEAD CENTER and it spits out, it is because the chains have not absorbed the strength of the putt. I understand that his part of the game, but there are other baskets out there that DON'T spit out like that. I would recommend to INNOVA to redesign their chain system so that spitouts cannot occur if they hit dead center. Imagine playing basketball, and you shoot a swish, but the ball gets half way down the net, and comes flying back out. Please alter the design so they will not spit out from dead center. I completely understand spitouts when a disc is off center and bounces off the chains. But, for it to happen on dead center shots is a travesty.

To witness not only a back-to-back World Title defense (5th player ever to do so), but a wire to wire finish is incredibly special! To have every round captured by the Jomez crew has to be special as well. What a week it's been!
    Congratulations to Niklas as well. I know that spit out and subsequent rollaway hurt; I felt my stomach drop the moment it fell from the basket. Still, he persevered and gave Finland a solo 2nd place finish! There is still plenty to be proud of, and I know he'll have his chances in the coming years!

    It's not that is boring it's just that people are so sick of seeing regular golf courses. Disc golf should be testing all the skills of the game and this is just throwing in huge fairways and hope it doesn't land o.b much better courses were available.

    I think tha course is probably fun to play, but for the thousandth time; watching coverage of courses with random OB all over just isnt fun. Sure, it's probably super challenging. But id you need manufactured OB to make a championship course, then maybe it's not actually a championship course

    All the others saying that green on 14 being the worst… it’s all true! That’s such an unfair aspect to that. If the put was shaking a bit or low to one side or anything, then maybe you can’t say that. But that put was 100% perfect.

    What happened to Classy Nick on 14 should not be allowed. Hole 14’s green is atrocious and it’s ridiculous that it is apart of the final round of the world championship.

      What happened the two previous holes might have mattered more. Two "easy" putts missed.

    • @Twilley
      @Twilley 4 месяца назад +4

      He missed the putt on the two previous holes and then threw too hard and too high on 14. I don't blame the course at all, the winner played 14 differently, matching his disc angle with the slope, and was rewarded.

    • @DannyFuego1Love
      @DannyFuego1Love 4 месяца назад +4

      I like unpredictable but a lot of the holes including 14 are too easy to play for par and really really hard to play for birdie especially on this one with such high chances of roll aways.

    • @bigsmoke8596
      @bigsmoke8596 4 месяца назад

      @@rfinnegan7106The two missed putts were on him and nobody is complaining about that, but on the putt on 14 he did everything he could as good as he could and instead was punished with a bogey

    • @bigsmoke8596
      @bigsmoke8596 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TwilleyThe previous putts have nothing to do with the spit out. Also hes putt was definitely not too hard since these baskets can typically keep in a hole in one and to say that he should have been better and putted about 2 inches lower is insane because at that point its just about luck when other putts might stay in when they barely hit one chain.
