Thanks for the video! Weatherby does indeed still makes the 340 Weatherby. I just bought a brand new Mark V deluxe in 340 Weatherby
Right. About a year ago I bought a Weathermark 340 Wby. Weatherby, Sheridan, told me that they cannot but a brake on a 340, No. 2 contour barrel. They can do it on the No. 3 contour barrels, though. All Accumarks, regardless of caliber, have a No. 3 contour barrel and they all have muzzle brakes. And now, the Weathermark line has been discontinued. I also have a 300 Wby Mark V, Weathermark, No. 2 contour barrel that does have an Accubrake. And I have a 416 Wby, Mark V Deluxe, No. 3 contour barrel. And, thankfully, they only come with brakes!

You did a pretty good job on the history of the Mark-V. I was lead Service gunsmith in both Atascadero, Ca. and Paso Robles, Ca. up until when Roy Jr. moved the company to Sheridan Wyoming and Adam his son took over from his father. They do a weekly Pod cast on the company and new models up coming. The Weatherby case design employs the "Hemispherical shoulder belted case.

Hello BTO folks, can you please do a video on Weatherby Vanguard history? I have seen an older one with a beautiful walnut stock and high luster blued finish with iron sights chambered in 30-06.
