Idk about you but I dont hold on to unnecessary things. This includes my perfumes. For some of these their time is up.

Yes ma'am thank God u are telling the truth.. in my own experience, the middle eastern are just not well blended and alot of them just smell straight out weird... It's few and far between when it comes to finding a LOVE within the middle eastern fragrance world

Exactly! I bought that Taskeen Caramel fragrance that everyone raves about, and its a no go! I almost threw up when I smelled it, it smells like milk, and I hate milk. My husband says it smells like cardboard! 😂

I love declutter videos 🤗 every perfume can’t work on everyone🤷🏻♀️ it’s impossible. So don’t feel like you need to justify yourself. We are all learning what we like and what we don’t 🤓🤓🤓and yes! I want to be able to reach out into my perfumes blindfolded and know that whichever one I grab is going to be one that I absolutely love 🤓🤓🤓🤓 iv got my designer perfume collection narrowed down pretty good but I’m gonna hold off for a while before narrowing down my middle Eastern perfume collection. I’m still figuring out what I’m gravitating towards and what I’m not🤓🤓🤓🤓
Thank you for this. 😊 I was doing an inventory on all my perfumes and I was utterly appalled when I realized how many I have 🤦🏾♀️I have too many! This was never the goal! I need to knock it down by about half. It’s like there were more than a few I was trying to force myself to love when I really just don’t… time to let it go.🙃

Gourmound lover here. Love the honesty, instead of the straight hyping of the scent. If a scent isn't for you, it just isn't for you. I can wear Khamrah all year round and even layer it with cherry, also the shaghaf oud tonka but that one would be straight fall/ early winter for me. I agree with you on the yara tous, I expected more. Big advocate of Wear what you want, when you want. Everyone's nose is different lol.

Girl no. I struggled so bad with it… I even have the elixxer and even that gives me trouble at times but I can tolerate it in the dry down. I recently went to ulta and got my nose on one of the flankers I think it was London dream. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. None of the screechiness or heavy moss. It was bright and not as sweet.
I can't stand it either. Intense and elixir versions either.

I love to hear opinions about perfume which is why I watch. It annoys me to see reviews of loving everything but there's no sign of usage of the fragrance. Then later down the line it's on their Mercari 😅 So I appreciate honest reviews. Khamrahs dry down annoyed me too so i gave it to my bf. But Qahwa!!! Girl love. I think you'll like that better. The dry down is more vanilla
Yes this used to bother me as well. Specifically to receive a perfume for free like in PR swear you love it, then turn around and sell it to your viewers.... that’s the part I can’t get with. Most of the time I end up giving perfumes away to family since I’ve used them, but I have some bottles that are full 🤦🏾♀️ I’d like to try to get a return on a few of those. How long has your Qahwa macerated? Mine is only a couple weeks and I can only smell cinnamon and like a musk cologne smell.

You just saved me a lot of money- was considering Mango Punch, Shagaf Oud Tonka, Khamra and Yara Tous. I was ambivalent about these at the same time because the reviews were really Good but I knew that I did not share the perfume preference with Those who reviewed it. I have ordered Taskeen - not because it resembles something else but because it’s gourmand. Thank you for this video. You should sell decants so people Can decide what to buy.

I'd definitely go for Khamrah, not Khamrah Qahwa. I've been very curious about it too, especially from all the YT hype 😅 I got a sample decant of both Khamrah and I find the original so much better than the Qahwa. I'm loving the dates note and I enjoy the spiciness. I think it's a lot better than even Baccarat Rouge 540 😅 as for the Qahwa version, it's really very negligible coffee note. To my nose Khamrah Qahwa smells like a cookie 😂
I wanted to like Delina so much but I HATE ROSE scents. I’ve only found one rose scent that I like and it doesn’t smell like rose. I just need to accept that I’m not a rose girl. Oh yeah, I hate moss in fragrance as well. 🤢🤢
Same!! I can’t do Delina. However I do like Nest Lychee Rose and turkish rose a lot

I am struggling with Caramel Cascade, too. I'm smelling rubber and licorice in the opening. I had to put it up and decided to try it, again, in fall.

I have most of these and actually do love them but the aspects you didn’t like or couldn’t stand, I can see that. Melodie’s opening, can’t stand it either. I don’t get the cherry from Oud Tonka though and the musk in Fleur was a bit much at the beginning but it got better with time.

Girl I was JUST about to blind buy Rave Now Women because I smelled Burberry Her at the store and liked it. But now I'm gonna go back to that store and spray myself with it to make DOUBLE SURE that moss note is alright for me lol. Thanks for the video! Qawha dries down to the OG Khamrah. The coffee note lasts all of 5 mins before it completely disappears. New to the channel. Love the honesty and realness. So, had to sub. Also, great video!

Thank you Cre. What an amazing video. I appreciate your honesty and reasoning (doesn’t it all come down to how often we want to reach for them and want to wear them?) A lot of these fragrances are sold out where I live. Yes Delilah has that sour note that never won me either and I find myself layering it (Gres Cabotine Rose as I can’t pick up much rose in it). And yes, I SO wanted these too! (ah, the power of hype). One Lattafa (well Maison Alhambra) I did just buy though was Rifaaqat, which I absolutely love but frustratingly it performs really badly so I’m forced to let it sit and just hope.

I am just like you. I pick the same scents over and over because when i like something its an easy pick. I just recently got Avenue London, and it's supposed to be a dupe for Tribeca Greenwich. Idk if they are the same, but I feel in love at first sniff, same with mystique bouquet. I'm happy with my last two blind buys.

Thank you for your honesty! Although I’m in love with the OG Khamrah, I got Qahwa and I don’t know how I feel yet. I really had to let Casablanca sit, because although I liked it when I was using it, there was a sharp note that I could not stand. I’m almost done with a bottle and I now see why people really like it! I have been curious about the Oud Tonka since it came out, but I just have not pulled the trigger as of yet.
I will say that the purchases that I have been really in are Ansaam Gold, Sakeena (I can’t tell if I like it or not…there’s something about it that gives me Stella Rosa Black vibes) and Vanilla Royale by Kayali.
The number one perfume that I have on my collection that I absolutely despise and it literally makes me physically nauseous is the Shahgaf Oud (gold). My fiancé surprise me with it because it was on my to get list, and every time I try to wear it on my hand, it just literally makes me so nauseous to the point of gagging… Which I’m so confused by because so many people rave about it and said it’s a good Oud to start with (I’ve never smelled any fragrance with Oud in it)… and I absolutely hate it. I feel bad I don’t necessarily want to get rid of it because my fiancé was so sweet and buying it, but I don’t think I can literally stomach it. I’m gonna try one more time to see, but after that, I don’t know what to do.
This is so funny. I have been there. That really sucks about the one your fiancé got you because it was a gift so now you have guilt lol. Smh I usually steer clear of oud. I don’t think you will find Shanghai oud Tonka to be offensive as it relates to oud. I didn’t detect any in the fragrance.not a bad fragrance, but I know I won’t wear it. Ansaam gold is a love 💕 I struggled with Casablanca. When I first got the fragrance I felt betrayed lol RUclips forgot to mention it leaned masculine 🤣 Thanks for watching and sharing love!
Fascinating, I own Mystique Bouquet (inspired by Valaya), and I also find something deep in the notes to be a bit funky. If you’ve ever smelled Navitus fragrances, that note is present there (especially in Ambrosia Imperiale, IIRC). Someone once said it smelled like an old-school hair grease, and that resonated with me. It’s something in the Navitus DNA, and I found it to be present in Mystique Bouquet.
Thank you for the video! It’s important for people to see that it’s ok to not keep fragrances that don’t make your toes curl and your eyes roll back in your head- and it’s not just blind buys, sometimes we just get tired of scents!

As I learn more and more... I am going to macerate or age my new middle eastern fragrances for 6 months and if I don't love them go!
I just received my first Arabic perfumes this week. I found out an Arabian store opened up near me and I was able to test some of the scents (not all). It did eliminate a few like honour and glory.
I also saw a video say that some tj maxx are carrying perfumes. Frag + bar and some others have samplers.
Maybe that may help you. Thank you for bringing your honesty
Having a store where you can sample nearby eliminates any reason to blind buy, I wish I did. For now I’ll either try to find samples online or go without. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the video!! I’m very picky but I bought Musamam due to the hype. I was not fond of it at first. I let it set. It got much better but I’d still not wear it alone. BUT…I’m layering it with Donna BIR Intense, Zara Rose Gourmand, TF Bitter Peach, Choco Musk and Khair Pistachio. I can’t stop sniffing myself!! All of them work! I don’t like Donna BIR Int alone either. Try layering it before declutterring.

I definitely love declutter videos! It gives me the motivation to declutter more. As much as I love the beauty of people’s scent closets I personally don’t want a huge collection. I have too many likes in my collection and not enough loves.
Does caramel cascade give a root beer vibe in a Love don’t be Shy way? Or in a tootsie roll way?
Same here they inspire me! As for the root beer vibe in reference to love don’t be shy, I can’t really say, because I don’t have that fragrance. I’m familiar with the scent profile, but I’ve never gotten the root beer vibe from that one. Caramel cascade has a literal root beer smell. I can’t stand it.
I definitely feel you on Caramel Cascade!!! When I smelt this I said WHAT IS THIS!! I was like oh no!!!!! This need to go wayyyyy in the back of the closet in the dark. I can finally smell the caramel but I just don’t know. I’m going to wait until the fall and prays it gets better because right now…. It’s giving NO!!! I don’t like Khamrah. Too spicy. I got Shaghaf Oud Tonka and Musamam White Intense and so far I like them. I just sprayed Musamam on the back of my had before I knew you had a new video up. Love the video!! Caramel Cascade to me, starts off root beer and licorice. Nasty. After 2 months maceration it's super strong cinnamon and something synthetic. So disappointing. Where is the caramel.😢
Yes I feel her too! I’ve been letting it macerate but I don’t think the macerating will change anything.

Regarding Khamrah Qahwah, I'm not sure if it has the note you are being turned off by but it is definitely gourmand/foodie. It has this coffee caramel note, along with the beautiful warm perfumey smell. As much as I love it and I'm on the side of it being even better, from hearing your take on the OG I doubt you'd love Qahwah. Unless coffee is your exception to the gourmand thing!
Now I do like a nice coffee scent done a special way!! 🤔I may fold on that one lol even if just for comparison. I think I’ll try to find a sample or decant. 😊 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I didn't like Khamrah but Khamrah Qawah was a love for me. The added note of Arabic Coffee in Khamrah Qawah did me in!! Have you tried that one? They're both cold weather fragrances for sure. It's ok not to enjoy something!! We all have different tastes in fragrances and I love that.

Anyway, I wasn't super interested in Mango Punch even though there has been so much hype behind it. I'm just not into mango fragrances. Same with pineapple 🍍 and there sure are a lot of thos lately too!! I do have Pear Potion on the way though. Its from this same collection with Mango Punch. Apparently Mango Punch is supposed to be a spot on dupe for Mango Skin by Vilhelm Parfumerie but I've never smelled that one and don't plan to either.
I really appreciate you sharing this video! Influencers tend to hype the same fragrances over and over and make people think they've got to have them and that they will be universally loved but neither of those things are true. A lot of reviewers/RUclipsrs/Influencers don't want to be the odd one out and say they didn't like something that everyone and their mama liked. But the honesty is soooo refreshing!! I cannot say that enough!! So, thank you!! And congrats on 1k!! ❤❤

I didnt like Khamrah either smelled like a box of cigars to me. Agree with you on Fleur de Oreantica too. Something in it is off. Think maybe its the waterlily and peach combo thats not working. I love Melodie de Orentica but i know that green at the opening isnt for everyone. I like green scents though. I have Musamam white on the way. Im excited about that one, I haven't heard any bad reviews on it and the bottle is gorgeous. Even if its not a favorite Ill probably still keep it on the shelf.

My feelings was so hurt when i seen khamarah first on the list however i can agree about Yara Tous it was such a disappointment it smells like sharp flowers and hairspray to me I've had it for months and still no change i expected to smell more creamier.

Mango is a fruit note i really enjoy in my fragrances, if not my favourite. But Mango Punch was a total let down for me as well as Yara tous (dis smells like spoiled milk n made my tummy churn).
I can only tolerate Mango punch layered with either Pear potion or lattafa's BAO Sublime.
I completely understand. I find layering is what saves a lot of these fragrances, unfortunately.
I think everyone at some point blind buy fragrances that doesn’t work for them or doesn’t work for them any longer ! Thank goodness what works for one doesn’t always work for others. Glad you realized everything is not for everybody ! Perhaps NOT blind buying would help solve your problems.

Do you get a marshmallow note from Fleur d’Orientica? I’ve seen a review or two mention this. I like the sound of Fleur d’Orientica but if there’s a marshmallowness I don’t think I want to try.
Hey love no not at all, fleur is a very clean crisp fresh scent. It’s very similar to valaya in my opinion. Nothing marshmallows about it. Could they possibly be referencing Melodie? That was has marshmallow for sure.

Honestly, I did a blind purchase on that Khamarah one (sp?) because everyone was raving about it. I just can't get into the smell, i think its awful LOL
I was shook about the Rave Now mention, I personally LOVE me my Burberry Her and I’ve been loving Rave Now but I understand it can’t be for everybody. You actually influenced me to buy Rave Now hahaha

@@JAY-su6oc my bottle is fairly new so the performance hasn’t been the best however typically with middle eastern fragrances they need a maceration period (1 month + of sitting after spraying it a few times) until the perfume actually performs better. So far I’ve only gotten like 2-3 hours
