I simply love this band, especially the voice of Clementine. If she starts singing I am singing too. And then my husband is looking at me and asks: Can it get any louder? - Yes, it can. Listening and singing to Vision of Atlantis is never loud enough.
Once the pandemic is over, I'll take my kids (10 and 12 yo boys) to a Vision of Atlantis show. It'll be a perfect introduction to symphonic metal. They should also try something else than the pop music coming from TV and radio.
I think they became more popular in these recent two to three years. Still not the biggest band, but they've done gigs in big metal festivals so that's well done. I might be completely off with this, but that's how I've interpreted it.
I discovered them myself just about a year ago. I think that they have been gaining more momentum since Clementine Delauney joined the band as lead female vocalist in 2013.

This video even more than the music sold me the album. Clementine looks so much happier and energetic now and Michele is a perfect compliment to her also. This album is going to be killer if this song and Heroes of the Dawn are any indication.
I'm loving this band more and more! Just saw this release and already know it will be great, and it is! Clementine is adorable and living, and Michele is calm and confident, which together makes a perfect balance. I can't actually say I liked the song, but it is definitely in VOA style and generally well done.

Listening to this as a background soundtrack while fighting a dragon in Skyrim is pretty epic. Yeah yeah i know late to the Skyrim party but f off my back lol.
They've always been good, Clementine is a good addition, and the bassist uses a 5 string!! So many metal bassists refuse to use a 5 string coz they want to "be old school". Well done for breaking the mold. I like bands that use 2 vocalists (male and female) its very refreshing to the overall sound - not the same voice all the time. Also, some symphonic metal recording engineers tend to use too much reverb, leaving the final mixdown to sound like what audiophiles call a - "sonic mush", VOA don't have that, well, not too much. I was listening to another well known symphonic metal band just yesterday and it sounded terrible, just a wall of sound with very little separation or individuality. VOA - Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine, I saw an interview yesterday where Clementine said she wants to mix it up a bit, that's not a bad idea either. Rock on.

i like the song I would say a little into the safe Zone. A great continuation of the deep and the dark. Part of me really like the style, but the other part of me wants something new and more daring maybe more symphonic or a little change on the structure of the songs, a little heavier or maybe adding new instruments and sounds. On the light note I love the energy and how empowering this sounds. Michele and Clementine look amazing they are so handsome btw. I now the full album is not out yet but I hope they meet the expectations.

When Clemi and meek joined the band, it evolved to a whole new level! This album, Pirates and for sure Pirates II are VoA at their best!
