- Sorry this is so long, I was trying to be thorough for the sake of a buyer who was driving 10 hours to buy this organ. He suggested I keep the video online as a comprehensive tour of the YC-45d.
The static you hear is from the mic on my phone being over-driven, not from the organ or the amp. FYI.
Just in the process of selling my late fathers YC-45d combo with leslie 825 (and pre-amp). We grew up with band practices in the basement right thru the 70's and 80's with one of these beauties cranking. So awesome to hear one being played again, cheers for leaving the video up.
Very considerate of you to make such a video, wish more instrument sellers were like that!
At 2:12 Kinura is a special type of organ pipes found in theatre organs from the 1920's. They made a thin reedy sound that was often used to sparkle up the sound from the more soft flute pipes.
awesome video. Always do videos for people that are buying from out of town. I t just shows your honest.
great introduction! however, i'd like to ask about the little potentiometer, at right, just between the two keyboards, above the upper 8'4' sustain key. i couldn't figure out it's function.
thanks in advance!
What a beast of an instrument
Hey man, nice video. If you're in town still think I owe you a beer. Gigging a lot around SLC with the Clarksdale Ghosts. I'd love to see you at a gig sometime. All the best, Z
Well, I bought it for something like $400 from someone who used to own a studio here. I sold it to an extremely awesome gent from southern California for $600.
I must admit, there's nothing out there that covers the same bases as the YC. It's an amazing instrument. I regret selling it but I have no room in my new place. Que Sera Sera
Anyone who would vote this down, are probably just mad that they didn't buy it.

hi bro i have the same organ but the femmale output jack is broken, I need photos of the jack connection
People are saying this is the organ that did Steve Austin's bionic sound. Listening to this I can believe it.
Watching this video, I understand why Chick Corea used this organ model in the 70s.
I would want one like it if I wasn't happy with the combo organ I have already. All the sounds and functions that a rock & pop musician could want during the 70s, plus a touch-sensitive upper manual.

Cuánto cuesta y dónde lo consigo
How much did you end up sellling it for if you dont mind me asking? I have one that I am selling..
Skruncha-roo It's been a few years but I believe I got $600 for it. I'm sure these organs could fetch much more if they could be more easily shipped. I'm going to sell a Baldwin Harpsichord soon...another huge instrument. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, good luck!
