What a great vid. It shows clearly the wrench, the hitch, hitch climber pulley, SAKA device, chest ascender device and foot ascender. And you speak slow and clear, "what a great vid". Nice camera work too. Thanks.
Excellent, excellent presentation and uncluttered info for beginners! Granted, I have attempted to rig up my own chest harness/rope wrench setup prior to watching but again - great tutorial.
I can’t even explain to you how simple you have just made that for everybody in the beginning of my journey it was the hardest thing in the world because I didn’t understand about the slack in my lap but everything has been great thank you in thank you to everybody else that has explained this system
The Texas Tug...🤔 First of all thank you for explaining it....second thank your buddy for inventing it. I love using this retrieval system for srt, but have had issues with retrieving after redirects.....this is when i would use a base anchor, but now i have options. Its rare to see something new anymore....this was cool😎
Thanks for a very superior short and informative video. Five stars from me i Norway *****. But one thing I wonder why you did is the two butterfly knots. Why not only one? Best wishes from a very interested amateur. Paul
The 2nd alpine butterfly has a pinto pulley , it aids in retrieval if you drop through a couple redirects. . Basically acts as a fair lead so on retrieval there’s not so much rope on rope.
I love the video, simple and easy to follow which is just what you want when starting using SRT more. What length of eye to eye do you find works best for your michoacan?
Hey buddy that Blake's hitch you used could I use that on the rook lanyard instead of the distal hitch I really don't like the distal hitch with that work the Blake's hitch for the rook lanyard
Thank you for the video Jimmy. I know the butterfly is a closed loop knot but I'm wondering if it should be dressed and set better than was done in the video. Thanks.
Great movie, I will watch the rest, your voice needs to be louder, but rest is amazing, can you tell me the what is that for that second alpine butterfly with carabiner and the micro pulley? Greetings for Poland
3 weeks later I will have to tell you that i have been using Michoacan hitch from 2 weeks and I love it. Now this is my favorite hitch, after vt, xt and distel this is my n1. Thanks
Great video. Can you show us more videos where to get the foot ascenders and the chest strap. Give us more videos on how to use the ascender for the first time user. Thx . Instead of spike , I like the ascenders.
What is the diameter and length of your hitch cord? Are you climbing on 1/2" rope? I may buy a Rope Wrench soon to use on 1'2 Yale XTC Fire rope. I don't know which hitch cord to get. Thanks for posting this video.
I’m sure there’s some in depth real print videos or info out there. It basically puts a bend in the rope so it takes some of the friction away from the hitch and dissipates it into the rope wrench . I was thinking it takes like 40 percent of the friction away from the hitch . Without the wrench in place the hitch would not operate very well with a 100 percent of the friction on a stationary rope system.
Would be helpful if some one on RUclips would just show you how to put on a damn rope wrench this guy barley explains or shows the knot he uses then when he clips eveeythig together I can’t see anything

I agree this was the first very helpful video i've found
Really good example for spurs less 👍 so you don't damage the tree, really awesome skills to learn

You got some nice gear, brother. Nice vid.
I use a similar tie in but the addition of the second alpine and the pulley is a great idea! look forward to more videos.
Thanks for your reply
Great video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Would you do a separate video on your method of tying the alpine butterfly? Thank you!
lovely. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video 👈💪
Yes so helpful
Cool vid.

Very many thanks.
Thanks Prizzle !!!
Great video! You explained everything very well, but I would like to know what chest harness you are using.

Thanks!

Bart it’s for retrieval to fair lead the rope into the pulley for less friction on retrieval.
Wow thanks good idea

So many silly question comments here.
Excuse me, but how you got the rope up there at first place?
ha ha threw it or maybe i used a throwbag
Only a mistake ..industry good practice says before install rope wrench ...test knot ...
Before you set all that equipment i have done the job with a regular skills...
Ro Noyola when I started we didn’t have any of this stuff ,
How the wrench works is not clearly shown.

If that vest isn’t fall rated, nothing else in your system would be since you didn’t attach to your harness. Do you switch as soon as you get up?
I’m attached to my harness with a caribiner that goes through the system.
The chest harness is there just to tend the system

I bet there are some good videos on RUclips , look up “how to tie a Michoacán”
Top pin out rope pops in pin back it looks like tbh
That tree branch you tide in to I wouldn't trust it with anybody bodyweight
Not rocket science folks
