You gotta see the pulse concert live for this one.
Was brilliant.I was at that concert.awesome, the light show & visuals were breathtaking.
💯 true it's a must 🇮🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺
Pink Floyd lyrics always so beautiful and so 💯 true. Greetings from 🇮🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺❤️
I believe the statue was of Syd Barrett. He was a beloved founding member of PF that the band makes many references to throughout the years through many songs
'Crazy Diamond' about Syd. He became a recluse of sorts to the end, after his mental illness issues got worse. R.I.P❤. It's good for Gen Z to research our X bands..the Story and Build Up til Today is Big and sometimes will blow your Mind a bit...🤪💪🔥
Great song the guitar solo and the end is amazing.
Love your reaction videos, including this one! As others have stated, you really need to watch Pink Floyd's performances from the live 1994 Pulse concert. You won't regret it!
yes this!!!! pulse live SORROW
If Pink Floyd doesn’t touch your soul and heart then that person doesn’t have one!!! And what everyone else is saying gotta watch pulse concert live!
Wait till you see and hear this song performed live.... its even better (pulse or live at pompeii versions)
Check out the Pulse version, but Live at Pompeii was 1972, High Hopes was released in 1994.
@@mspicer3262 I am talking about dave gilmour live at pompeii 2016, that's a perfect version
Absolutely ❤
You're in for a feast of the ears! 1975 Pink Floyd style
You just cannot beat Pink Floyd for excellent music.!
Excellent choice, love you channel! To me, this song (tied for my favorite PF tune with "Comfortably Numb") talks about how the world seemed so magical and limitless when we were young, and how things slowly became disillusioned as we got older - the white balloons seem to represent all the memories of our childhood being sent back in time, where they belong - lol.
One of my favorites. Thank you. Please do ‘On The Turning Away’ - live 2019 remastered version.
That giant bust with the man's face that they were hauling across the field was Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's original main songwriter & one of the groups founders! He's the inspiration for a lot of their songs and was the one who was replaced by David Gilmour in 1968 because of terrible mental issues! Syd went through very rough times and could no longer help the band because he was having those severe problems!!!
The good news was is they never abandon him ever and always made sure he was taken care of and at the time of his death in 2006 he had a net worth between 7 to 10 million dollars! So he wasn't left in poverty nor was he forgotten!!!
Hi from the UK. the video has many references to Cambridge, where Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and David Gilmour grew up, college scarves, bicycles and punts on the river being obvious ones. The oversize bust is of Syd Barrett who was an original member in the 60s . Who sadly passed away It would later be used in live performances during Pink Floyd's 1994 Division Bell Tour .Great reaction . Thanks .
Yes there music has the ability to go straight to your soul and take you to another place
Watched till the end you really must see the pulse live and be amazed they can pull this off to perfection live. The acoustic at the very end is just so good and even better at the Pompeii version but I prefer pulse live myself
Check out the Pulse version, but Live at Pompeii was 1972, High Hopes was released in 1994.
Please check out Pink Floyd LIVE at the PULSE CONCERT. A good song to check out is RUN LIKE HELL. All songs from Pulse are excellent.
The statue is actually a reference to SYD Barrett, a founder member of the band, everything in the video is a metaphor for things in the past, if you know the story then you can read the video like a book.
Great reactions guys and your coments are so mature....
The moment the man opens the back door to release balloons I believe is memories of your past
Check out the live Pulse concert version...simply amazing.
Definitely watch it Live❤
Need to see the live Pulse version of this for the amazing full solo at the end. Better version all around.
You should check out one of their instrumentals, Floyd can take you for a ride without voices... something like 'Obscured by Clouds' or 'One of These Days' from their earlier years, or 'Marooned' from the same album as this one.
Todos os prêmios ao pink floyd. merecem... a melhor música
Division Bell was a great album
So close to the live versions musically, and yet the LIVE versions blow this away.
Favourite song from Pink Floyd, there is something special in that melody that touches you different
Excellent choice excellent song Guys!
Thank you!
Kudos!
One of the interpretations is that this song talks about the history of Pink Floyd. The way they started, eager to make music (when “the taste was sweeter”), the struggle with Barrett (the statue in the video), the way the music business let them down (also clearly expressed in the song Have A Cigar) and how the band split in the early 80s.
you should listen that David Gilmour performance on "Hight Hopes" ,live in pompei , the most emotional i ever heard , and performed by David ,elderly ... and always so great . the last minutes with solo spanish guitar is wonderfull
Damn Deep

You should have watched the pulse live concert version! It’s not a fly , it’s a bee.
Feed the soul - perfect.
Put on DarkSide of the Moon one romantic evening and enjoy that together. Pls make sure you got a good system to play it on. Toke up or get some drink going. Then turn that on and have fun.
Greetings 😉🙂😃👋😘
I like most the version in Albert Hall👌
It's a Honey Bee.....
La versione dal live PULSE è ancora più bella di questo.
Do the live version from PULSE Concert
Divertido
Check out - Alabama Shakes "Hold On" when you get a chance 😊
My husband and I just love you
If you're gonna do Pink Floyd ya gotta do The Gunners Dream.
ely cathedral england in this video
2023. Thanks.
Luckily, dream images are much easier to “get” than we think.
These are not “hidden messages”. Nothing so pedantic as that. These are spontaneous feelings, pulled from the back of one’s brain. They hit the way music hits: as pure, sublime, emotional force - every vision a natural vehicle of feeling.
No explanation is really needed for these things. If you feel and dream, you know.
Pink Floyd dealt in the subliminal.
Bien
As good as this song is, you should check out the Nightwish version of this from the End of N Era DVD. Marco's vouce carries it to ridiculous heights and has so much emotion in it. Give it a look see.
I wish you could do reactions to "Rainsong" by Moodfood and "White Bird" by It's A Beautiful Day.
Not a fly...a bee.
Its not a fly. Its a humming bird
Listen to Sheep
