Doesn't make sense to me, if the new tires have fewer stock than the older tires then why the new tires are sold cheaper individualy than the older tires??
For me - it's the lateral bounce that's making the old tires a better choice. It's more chaotic in the jumps. The upgraded part count doesn't make the two monster trucks very "jumpy" so they have to dial it back in somehow.
It’s almost like they are the wrong way round. The older tyres look more like all terrain tyres you would find on a jeep. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a jeep with tractor tyres on.
My theories are: 1. LEGO didn't use the tractor/Jeep tires because of existing production stock. Even if the tire is currently produced for two 2021 sets it still doesn't compare to the 50 sets produced with the 56x26 balloon tires which means they could rely on existing stock, since it would take more time to produce the new rubber parts. OR 2. Each year the designers have only about 50.000 elements to choose from and maybe at the time of designing the Monster Jam vehicles the Jeep tires were not yet available as production samples so they couldn't test them and simply chose the existing balloon tires.
@@RacingBrick Business decisions take into account many more factors beside price. For instance consider supermarkets that prefer to sometimes sell on a loss just to free up the shelf space. Also selling price is not always an indicator for the production cost. It's hard to guess what really was their decision based on.
I agree with you, the tires could be for the Jeep exclusively.. A Rc test of the tires would be a real comparison to the default 56mm tires. Thank you for your video review!!
Mmmh.... cool video!!! The real question to me is since there is more and more RC Lego capable to go around, crawl and stuff.... why they keep on providing crappy plastic tires and bumpy shock absorbers... it’s really a shame... Love your channel though 😬😄
Actually, the tractor tires don't even fit the Jeep compared to the real life counterpart. The old ones would be more accurate. For the Monster Jam cars though, the tractor tires would be perfectly accurate...what's going on in Lego's minds?
I think that the reason they don'tr have the new tires is because the monster trucks were actually designed before the new tire came into production. It's still not a great theory though, because they could just, IDK, switch the tires? may the monster trucks were manufactured an made ready for shipping before the new tires came.
Me and my brother got the same city tractors, and prior to that, my mom bought me a technic grave digger, and my brother a technic max d. I did a tire swap using the tires on the tractors on my grave digger. It looks awesome. Its also interesting that the friction half pins WEREN'T introduced for max d. Its seems Lego really hates these monster trucks (jk.) We are planning on getting the megalodon and el toro loco soon. And they didn't put new tires on them either? :( Monster trucks still real cool, just wished they had the cool tractor tires.
my theory would be simple: lego had a bigger stock left of older tires than the new ones.
that makes sense

@@m10tankdestroyer94 w/o reason LOL just because they can price anything they produce as they wish to xDDDD
@@Metalizer Bruh don't give LEGO any ideas next time we will be buying 2x4 bricks for 5 dollars each xD
I Like "bricks" under the axels of the jeep 😆
Maybe monster trucks were designed before new tractor tires were created.

I wonder the same too, btw the jeep without tyres and on the 4 bricks looks so funny😂, nice touch!👍

Monster trucks are iconic for many things the noise and the tires
Ngl jeep tires on jeep with black rims and fenders removed looks sick

two things when i get monster jam set. jeep/tractor tires. and removing that unrealistic and ugly front ram/bumper.
The tractor tyres has much better traction in the dirth 👍👍
Probably it was simply a matter of supply. Either the new tires are not yet available in sufficient amounts or the old ones have overstock.
Ok, but why the newer one is cheaper then?

Lego wants you to buy 3 jeeps just so you can put the correct tires on your monstertrucks
i think it's because the jeep was developed later then the monster trucks
there might be a v2 of the monster jam trucks but who knows
Well that's the only real explanation I can agree with!
Never thought of it that way.
i think they used the round tires because they seem to be rounder on real truck to me

Its funny how you put the Jeep on bricks, as if you stole the tyres off of it, which you did. HAHA.
The wheels is compatible with Buggy extreme Radio control? Thanks

Good morning
The LEGO Technic Fullback in 2021 came out so well.
It will be very fun to play with children.

I think u should use the tractor tires look more like the actual monster jam truck they look like they have better traction
Hello from Malaysia... Kewl review on the tires...👍🏼
Someone decided that it had to look more tough and more like mud tires on the Jeep set.
My theory: Lego made the guy who had the idea with the fart in the 42124 control profile decide what tires to use : )

Can you do some MOC videos / MOC suggestion videos?
Really can't understand the decisions that Lego takes at times 🤦🏻♂️
i put the orange max d wheels on the jeep.. looks better IMO

The max d back is not right. You rotated the lamps
Lol nice find, I guess the beam fell off and was put back reversed accidentally. And yes, I guess the name Balázs gives my nationality away :)
The jeep is better with the more realistic monster jam tires
why
its killing me that he didn't align the tires properly into the beads on the original monster truck wheels ;-;
Feel free to focus on such details when you swap the wheels and tires like 15 times for the different tests :)
No offense but you put the a-pillars on the wrong way
The Jeep was left next to the road after a rollover accident and the wheels were stolen too...
Ok xD
nice topic 👍
Arent you hungarian? Because the name balazs
