Yes🙂🙂👍😃
I want to live there. I hatched out a Mantis egg ootheca. Lol sack in the dead of winter when I was 11 years old by accident. We lived in an old country house with an Attic so the wood stove heat of course rose and I was always putting rocks and sneaking in lil critters of all sorts. My sister on the other hand was afraid of let's say nicely her own shawdow and all those baby's hatching she screamed and was trying to murder my baby's 😢 . I almost got locked in the dungeon over that! Even have been spit in the eye by one. I still luvvvvvv them and cherish each encounter. Its such a blessing to see an Equally empathic soul luvn GODS SWEET LIL PRAYER WARRIORS AND THE WAY THEY LOOK LIKE LIL GREEN ALIENS IS A DELIGHT. YOUR A BLESSING TO ME TODAY . MY HUSBAND WAS KILLED AND MY BROTHER MURDERED MOM and Father-in-law PASSED AND IVE BEEN Severely DEPRESSED. YOU MADE ME SMILE AGAIN. THANKS FOR THE SHARING IFNTWIN PASSIONS💟🛐💜🐌🐛🐜🐝🐞🕷🕸🌴🍀🐢 Luv Kimmie
I keep 9 mantids and that enclosure is stunning! Subscribed! Also, about the wings, there isn’t much you can do about that and it is very common. Just make sure you keep the enclosure humid whilst the mantis is molting. Great vid!
Mantis keeper here, still in awe at this beautiful ecosystem. As for her wing, what I could suggest is a larger enclosure since she's gotten so big. The size isn't an issue normally but the crumbled wing just means she's bumped against something before she hardened back up after the moult. As you said it's not going to affect her especially since she's a pet and not in the wild it's purely just looks. I think the height of the enclosure is perfect but with her size now a little more hanging surface area would benefit her. Saying all that chances are high that if she has another moult she'll look good as new with no issues, just something to think about (and maybe another cool project?). She's absolutely stunning by the way, and the plants only highlight her beauty
She won't have another moult, as she is an adult now. They only unfold their wings with the last moult, while nymphs have them folded up.
I've never personally had a Mantis develop something like this, so I don't know if it is related to the size of the tank. It might, or it might just be bad luck. She would have to have bumped against something and then stayed like that while her wing hardened.
Really appreciate the advice, thank you!😃
@@TerrariumDesigns also since she had her last molt, she'll live up to 6 months max.
Wow!! You are one of my fav terrarium RUclipsrs. The marcgravia are awesome! It’s one of my wishlist plants
Thank you! Yes it’s such a beautiful plant:)
This is just beautiful! I am getting started in making terraria, and only have three, very small plants only projects. I’ve had them going for about three weeks, and, so far, so good. I watch you to help me figure out what the heck I’m doing. Thank you!
Glad you find the videos useful😃
I’m impressed with every vid, I really like how you can spin it round and get an inside view 👍
i think this might be the first time I’ve ever seen your face. I’m glad you have one lol
Fishtank magnetic scrubber. Two magnets, one covered in felt, the other covered with a non-chemically impregnated scubbing material. No cleaning solutions. Make sure the glass inside the back is sufficiently moist, run the paired magnets up and down to loosen the material on the glass then rinse with clean water. Repeat as necessary. Good luck and I hope this helps. It would be nice as my thank you for your videos🙂...
Very good idea!:)
That so so cool and pretty , I love me a mantis , maybe on day I will thank u for sharing
Awww I had a pet Asian praying mantis and we named her Manty too
these videos never disappoint me :D
Please make a sealed glass jar aqua plant terrarium
Great update. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it:)
You should plant some mushrooms in the back of the trunk =)
I would love to make a ecosystem terrarium for my mantis, but you have to make sure they have plenty of horizontal sticks and branches to hang down from (I mistakenly called them vertical in a reaction to another comment and it wouldnt let me edit it)
fun job, enthusiastic👍
You could make a tank with an access panel on the back the next time you incorporate such a feature.
That was so cool! Does the mantis not need to fly? Or get any sunlight? Absolutely stunning! Amazing work!
a cool way for cleaning the viewing window is to use either a sponge, or a microfiber towel with a strong magnet either stuffed or sewn inside of it, and then another strong magnet on the outside of the glass. you can leave it in there, with the outer magnet holding it in place, and then when you are ready to clean, you just slowly move your outer magnet around, and it will drag the towel or sponge inside. you'll need some pretty tough magnets though, and definitely shoot some water or terrarium safe glass cleaner onto the surface when you are going to clean.
Good idea, thanks!
absolutely beautiful ! what does this wood called ?
I always like ur videos, but can u tell us how to make a free cost terrarium.
Do you have any ecosystem for tarantula? I love to learn.
Can I have your permission to call you buff Tanner? JK, love the vid. I actually live in an area where praying mantis are very invasive and I hope this spring or summer to capture one to keep as a pet and I almost guarantee your vid will be a bit of the inspiration for how the terrarium will look.
I'm getting back into building ecosystems and what not after a long stint of not really keeping many species and taking a break
I was curious if anyone knows, as I reside in the UK for the first few I wish to use local wildlife as it's abundant (as the UK can be) near myself. Is it legal to use hand tools such as blades and axes in public areas to take apart fallen trees ect (I know that chopping live trees down ect is illegal and I'd not want to do that anyway, but there are areas that over the year trees have fallen and been left which some would make for good projects). My main concern is doing this purely out of a hobby so I don't want to be pulled in the woods carrying the wrong things. (I know about laws regarding what's considered a weapon/illegal due to the nature of how it works, more rather carrying the minimal necessities)
Maybe a the magnetic sponge to clean it
Good idea!
Have you considered keeping ants, they could be cool to watch, especially within the hard scape.
That would be very cool!
Where do you get your glass from
This was from an old fish tank:)
I meant where do you buy it from
So what name did the praying mantis get? 😉
Manty

Great idea!😃
