    I ran into the exact problem with the spring, removed it and the steering was perfect, but its weird some people are using the spring and not running into this issue.

    bought 2 of these off FLEE BAY on close out (last week) for $63 dollars each . i agree all fits the bill for the fox bodies...can see gauges, feels good (wont burn your hand like them half alum ones), flat so you can reach the levers, and just driving around the 1 hand drive feels great dont feel weird or not in the right spot. ive had a lot of grant wheels(over the years) and every time i say im going to a different brand others dont compare ,other may look flashy but can they preform, and you like them not just for looks? looks good on 87 GT ttop cars too..

      I agree. Zero complains about this wheel other that I with the top and bottom were "round" and not "oval" shape.

    I actually just got the momo race tribar for my car. Was mint shape on eBay for 90.00 but I got the wrong adapter from grant hub to momo 6 screw style in 1/2 inch and the horn button can’t go all way in so I had order a 1 inch adapter. Lol I was tempted to go suede but one I had in the past was hard to keep clean especially from the oil from ur hands. Glad I went momo with the leather. It look good in ur car definitely!! Hope you and ur family holidays are great. And happy soon birthday mines actually Jan 6th.

      A cheap first swap is an explorer intake, 65mm throttle body and 3.55-3.73 rear gears. Your limited on major stuff like heads and cam with speed density ecu, at that point would want to convert to mass air of aftermarket ecu.

    Wish you did a steering wheel controls relocation video. I had cruise control on my 84 steering wheel when I installed a Grant and now I'd like to relocate those buttons somewhere. Not real sure how to go about doing that since it's been years since I swapped steering wheels and the old wheel buttons are really weird...can't just cut a hole somewhere and drop them in. Will need some custom wiring and bracket on the wheel or something similar.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 лет назад

      I did. I mentioned in the vid if you go this route you will lose cruise if you have it. Mine never worked so not worried about. If I wanted cruise and it worked Id likely just keep the stock wheel but you could always wire something up yourself.

    Caution to all 87-93 Fox Body owners who have bought a Grant wheel and looking for a general Install kit...
    They don't have one.. So before you go and do what I did and buy a wheel just to find out I can't use it on my 91 GT without buying Grants $200+ Quick release hub. Summit and everywhere else will tell you #3289 Kit will work, however this is absolutely NOT TRUE and it will eventually strip out your column (Apparently) So, word from the wise.. Air bag Fox's are completely different than non-Air bag cars and though a lot of places will say the 3289 kit will work just trust me it doesn't.
    So, anyone wanna buy a Brand new Grant wheel exactly like the one on this video? lol.. Damnit
