- This was mostly just a late night test to see if I could apply the same mocap data to a robot and a little pilot, and it worked well enough that I fleshed it out!
Also, I'm releasing it (and the robot model) under creative commons 0, if anyone wants to use them for anything:

I love how the graffiti all over the sword kinda implies it gets stolen all the time
Loved seeing this in Episode 1. It adds a bit of humanity and sense of leisure to the world. Also, not completely immersing us in it, but showing us parts was nicely directed. It's normalized in such a busy world. Gives the feeling the sport has been around for a while and shows the character isn't interested all too much.
And weirdly, I found myself focusing on it happening in the background instead of the character in the actual scene, this work is truly incredible

I'm glad. I know they sometimes attack vehicles on the outer highways, but we built them in their habitat and they really don't deserve to die for people's entertainment in these arena fights.
