If you're interested in Liverpool, a man made a documentary of his experience buying a shop (just across the water from Liverpool) with a flat above it and completely rebuilding it. It's so interesting and it gives you an idea of what the culture is like. It's cost him £26,000. It's easy to find on youtube
I am from Liverpool, I love Liverpool. Whenever I go somewhere I am always happy to be back home because I am so in love with my city. Thanks so much for coming and contributing to our culture and tourism x
We live on the Isle of Man, so Liverpool is our most common point on and off the island. We've been here hundred of times, but rarely as tourists. It was great to watch you explore it! And we can't wait for your Isle of Man video!
The Albert Dock was used in the first Captain America film, the bit where the guy is trying to get away in a mini submarine and the Cap dives into the water.
Love Liverpool! Quite a memorable place, got a chance to visit back in 2019. Very vibrant city with a lot to offer. As an American, the accent was DEFINITELY a challenge for me lol. I didn’t understand what people were saying to me half the time, but the locals were super dope and friendly lol.

there's absolutely loads of these kind of easter eggs about liverpool - but It may interest you to know that the building you first show with the clock (very famous building known as the liver building) was used in the Batman movie - (there was other buildings in Liverpool to represent Gotham city given how cool Liverpools Architecture is - the city is very beautiful when you walk around it at night) -
This visit was so very interesting. We have not been travellers thru the world and have been to Britain. It was fantastic to see a quick look at the city of Liverpool. Thanks So Much! Loved it! Happy Travels guys. Love your new travel blog. From NS,🇨🇦.
The two docks by Liverpool museum are old graving docks. Ships would enter them and the water pumped out so that maintenance can be performed on the hulls. Those two are no longer working docks and have two ships semi permanently docked in them.
Enjoyed this vlog! Since I am a big Beatles fan, I visited Liverpool in 2010 but everything I did was Beatles related. Watching this showed me there is much more to this city than The Beatles! It deserves a return visit. 👍
Glad you liked my city, Liverpool, you should have walked further into the city itself, its very walkable, there is so much more to see but I suppose you had limited time. Do come back you will always be welcomed.
John Lennon, definitely. If I'm not mistaken, John is the one that started the group and that had the vision and the ambition to push them forward. Both John and Paul were amazingly talented and they were a creative team sent from heaven.
Later on yes, but John wanted to make it big at the get go. When success happened Paul wanted to continue making Pop but John wanted to experiment. Either way they were the best song writers of the 20th century.. @@JackSmith-hx8zh
Great vid, I liked that you visited the Baltic triangle most visitor vids cover more of the architecture like the cathedral’s and St George’s Hall etc (which are amazing btw), you’ve probably only scratched the surface, it’s a wonderful walking city centre, literally everything is within a 15 minute walk

England was the first country I visited solo. Believe it or not I was 14 years old. I was so scared on the plane all by myself. Of course I went from London to Liverpool because I’m a huge Beatle fan. I remember I sold sandwiches in Soho Square where Paul McCartney had MPL, which is his Company McCartney productions Limited. Sometimes he would walk in and I we would just drop our sandwich trays and run up to him. Funny thing, Paul was never my favourite Beatle.Initially George was then I went through my John phase and now of course, it is Paul. I found Liverpool a little rough But I loved visiting the old cavern and Strawberry Fields. At the time that I visited, Paul was recording his oratorio, and I got to see him during rehearsals at the Liverpool Cathedral. Thanks delightful travelers. This brought back so many memories.😊
Yessss, that’s what I love about cruising! After a day off the ship, you get to go “home”. So glad you’re enjoying cruising! From Liverpool and it is always nice to see people appreciating my home city. Should have visited the Cathedral it is magnificent, 8th largest in the world. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, did live in london for 3 years and hated it. The Royal Albert Docks were originally working docks for global trade in the 19th century, they opened in 1846. Its warehouse were fireproof and secure, traders do deals before their import taxes were due, hydraulic cranes hauled heavy cargoes across the flagstones. The speed which ships unloaded was cut in half. The serene waters stretched the size of three football pitches, and construction cost equivalent to £41 million today. From maritime to arts, the river Mersey has always played a central role in the city’s cultural life, the docks vast size stamped its imprint on the waterfront we know and love.
Ideally you should be walking on the opposite sides, as in if you drive on the right side you should walk on the left so that you can see the approaching vehicles as its safer that way.
Alot os Sherlock holmes movies were filmed in liverpool, not in the albert dock excatly.. but alot of the older abandoned dock buildings just a mile or 2 north.
Touristy cities: York, Lincoln, Canterbury (and Bath of course). Cities slightly less well known: Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester (these three aren’t that far from one another, so would be really easy to combine), Wells, Bristol, Coventry, Salisbury. One of my favourites is Norwich. It’s also our most visited as we part-own a boat on the Norfolk Broads and we can cruise up river into the heart of the city (if you have a suitable boat to get under a low bridge). It must be the only inland city with a ‘Yacht Station’, where you can moor up within sight of the cathedral. There are quite a few hire boat companies on The Broads, which is how we first discovered the area.
Hi .. I stumbled across your channel and have subscribed. Really enjoying your videos and working my way through . Love your presentation and sunny personalities 😊. Yeah regarding Liverpool. ..im English and i have trouble with the accent. I couldnt understand what those kids were saying 😅😅
Hey guys - been a while since I've sent you any messages but as they say - you are in my neck of the woods now! So where next? I'll stay away from saying the obvious like York, Canterbury & Bath. Wales - try Tenby and the surrounding area. The coast of Yorkshire I have a soft spot for Bridlington and Scarbourough. Both great value. Oban in Scotland is lovely and the gateway to so many Islands. Did I see St Ives in your film? Beautiful. Norfolk Broads has many lovely places and maybe you could try a trip in your own Canal boat! South Coast there's Broadstairs, Deal, Hastings and of course Brighton. Whatever you do - enjoy!
Looks like you had a good time, but it's a pity you couldn't have stayed a little longer to see the Cathedrals. Oh and the s in Mersey is pronounced like a z, so it's Merzey or Mair-zeee in Scouse.
In the UK, you must visit Bath! It’s extremely charming and probably my favorite town in Britain. I would personally love to live there. It’s also the hometown of the 80s band, Tears for Fears. 😊
We drive/ride our horse on the Left because we mostly wielded our swords in the right hand. Originally Scouse was a lamb stew. If you couldn`t afford meat it was called Blind Scouse. Walk from the Catholic Cathedral to the Anglican one the have a drink in Ye Cracke, where John Lennon used to drink. Don`t miss The Cavern - open day & night.

Bristol, definitely come to Bristol. The best City in Europe. You’d love it Plus there’s a big connection between Bristol, John Cabot and Newfoundland.
13:30 The cost of living is low. You can buy a terraced house in Liverpool for less than £80,000 and property taxes will be about £1,500 per year (we call it Council tax). If you have more you can buy more. If you have less you actually can buy less but you will need to fix it up. Most cheap homes need something repairing anyway. I like Liverpool. It has a lot of charachter.
As a scouser, I'd say Liverpool is a lot cheaper than Toronto. ( the only Canadian city I've been to.) You've only visited the touristy/hip areas, so have paid higher prices than the locals would normally pay. I only ever go to the Pier Head and Albert Dock when I have guests from out of town. All those pedestrians you mentioned walking on the wrong side are all guests in our city as well😂 , though admittedly us English just walk where we want, no etiquette.
it’s a shame that you couldn’t stay in the city for more than a day; there’s too much to do here! you hardly saw any of it. you could spend an entire day in all the museums alone (and they’re all free). the ideal time would be a 4 day weekend if you ever find yourselves back here!
@Trevor you need to try to keep that camera a little more steady like your wife does. Is image stabilization turned on? Otherwise, your content is entertaining. Keep it up.

It must be the only inland city with a ‘Yacht Station’, where you can moor up within sight of the cathedral. There are quite a few hire boat companies on The Broads, which is how we first discovered the area.
Wow so many great tips here... thanks so much. Looking these up! - Anna
Thanks for all the great tips Spencer. Good to see you commenting again - Anna
Looks like you had a good time, but it's a pity you couldn't have stayed a little longer to see the Cathedrals. Oh and the s in Mersey is pronounced like a z, so it's Merzey or Mair-zeee in Scouse.
At least a week is needed to explore Liverpool. And the nightlife is legendary (but dont hang out after drunken midnight)😅😅
that dock is in the film captain America it's where he chases the hydra agent to early on.
🇬🇧👍♥️🕺🎹🎸🎼🎤🌙🍺🎵✔️👏 So glad you liked our beautiful city. 👍
Scran means food. I've been there for a scran, get a scran and also to scran which is to eat. I'd scran that
In the UK, you must visit Bath! It’s extremely charming and probably my favorite town in Britain. I would personally love to live there. It’s also the hometown of the 80s band, Tears for Fears. 😊
We've been to Bath actually... we have an older video on it as well - Trevor
Great video guys. We love your channel. We’re Liverpool born and bred and fellow travel RUclipsrs. If ever you’re back in Liverpool, give us a shout and we’d be delighted to show you around. Love Gail & Mike 👍🛳👍
So cool you're from there. I hope our video represented Liverpool well 😀 - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers it sure did do it justice and we’re glad you enjoyed the place. We actually waved your ship off at sailaway that evening. Hope you enjoy cruising as much as we do and honestly, our offer to show you around remains. Keep up the great work guys 👌🎦🍿🎥
Please tell me that you went to the proper museum, the gallery and Georges!!!!!
You would probably really like Bristol it’s very near Bath but has a similar vibe to Liverpool (smaller)
Noted! thanks - Trevor
St George's Hall is Gotham City Hall in the last Batman movie
Captain America first avenger was filmed at Albert Dock
2032 batteries are £2 for about 10 in the UK in Poundland..👍
Bristol, definitely come to Bristol. The best City in Europe. You’d love it
Plus there’s a big connection between Bristol, John Cabot and Newfoundland.
NFLD! interesting - Trevor
Was that Alisson Becker in the background at 2:42??? 😂
I had to go back and check. I really thought it was until the last side profile. 😂 Well spotted. 🙏

The cost of living is low.
Thanks for letting us know - Anna
Did you just say Paul in the past tense 😮
Chester u gotta do that place.
list of movies and shows
harry potter, fast and furious, peaky blinder, captain america, batman plus a load more
We don’t have a side to walk unless it’s marked on the pavement. So walk on any side you like…left, right! It doesn’t matter 😅🧡💚
Coronation Street is 30km from Liverpool
Ringo, FTW! He was their Mossad handler. Still is.
TO is so expensive.... so you're right there. We had a blast exploring Liverpool that's for sure - Anna
it’s a shame that you couldn’t stay in the city for more than a day; there’s too much to do here! you hardly saw any of it. you could spend an entire day in all the museums alone (and they’re all free). the ideal time would be a 4 day weekend if you ever find yourselves back here!
We'll 100% be back! - Anna
@Trevor you need to try to keep that camera a little more steady like your wife does. Is image stabilization turned on? Otherwise, your content is entertaining. Keep it up.
? I'm usually the one holding the camera 😅🤷🏻 - Trevor
Come to the greatest country on earth Scotland and Visit Glasgow and Edinburgh but preferably Glasgow. City of culture and people are awesome
We have a really old video on Edinburgh actually. But, we'll be in Glasgow at some point in the videos and maybe somewhere on the coast - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers you will love Glasgow it’s a brilliant city. Sauchiehall Street, Buchanan Galleries and Glasgow green are great places to visit
I'm from Liverpool.....its an amazing city...but...yeah....you have to see Scotland...id go with it being the greatest country on earth. Glasgow is the only city I could move to outside of Liverpool......love a bit of glasvegas me.
👍
🤙
Just got back from the isle of Mann - must do is the Laxey Wheel and then on mountain Railway xx
We can't wait to share our vlog on that island! - Anna
Great video! You know those 2 kids, they were impossible to understand. Anna, don’t talk so fast either 🧏♀️ Sometimes your audio is less than clear with wind noise etc and we have trouble picking up your higher pitched voice. Have you considered lapel microphones?
It was beyond windy on this day. We’re surprised any of the audio picked up 😂 We’re not really interested in the lapel mics at this point honestly. We have enough gear to deal with haha - Trevor
👍🙂👏🙋
