Can I Beat Pokémon Scarlet With ONLY Kanto Pokémon?

- I attempt to beat a Pokemon Scarlet hardcore nuzlocke using only the original 151 pokemon from Kanto. Can I do it or will I lose?
This was defiantly the most stressful run yet so I hope you guys enjoy!

muk gets 0 love. easily my favorite kanto pokemon. porygon runner up for its appearance hitting the switch in n64 pokemon snap.

I've loved psyduck for as long as I can remember just because he's a silly little guy, so imagine how happy I was when he made his appearance
I dont know why but for some reason I felt this was one of the best Scarlet videos ive ever seen. Maybe something that happened before the 10 min mark? not sure, great video.

My fav Kanto pokemon is Ninetales. Beautiful and majestic, still a hard hitter with Nasty Plot/Flamethrower and a great regional variant.

its hard to pick a favorite kanto pokemon. for me its really close between scyther, electabuzz, and magmar. but if i had to choose electabuzz just slightly edges out the other 2
i think nuzlocks of SV from this point onward should include the DLC as well, having the run end after defeating Terapagos. nuzlock i just started is not ending until then

I did a challenge just like this when the games came out! I think my final team was Dugtrio, Arcanine, Gengar, Cloyster, Dragonite, Magneton

Yeah leaving Hitmonchan against Staraptor was asking for trouble, the same with Sandslash against the Bellibolt. You saw the disadvantage and choose not to switch out resulting in unnecessary losses.
Raichu could've been saved aswell
As a firm believer that gen one and two have the coolest mons, I fully appreciate this haha

How far do you have to get in the beginning before you can start using an old starter (like your Bulbasaur)?
Ahh I traded it from a different save but you can trade as soon as you hit the first pokemon centre. Otherwise I dont think you can get bulba until post game ;-;

Thanks! I noticed that you never used items like Full Restore, etc. Are those frowned upon in these challenges?
Yeah the hardcore ruleset bans items in battle (held items are ok) but honestly just play how you want it'll be more fun that way :D

You can beat any Pokémon game with any Pokémon. You just need a LOT of heals and revives.

For all the power creep, there are still some insanely good pokemon in kanto. Gengar, Golem and the other trade evos(some/most not accessible), dragonite, arcanine, victreebel, raichu, nidoking(not accessible), all the starters, the legendaries(need event or trade), snorlax, fearow(not accessible), venomoth(only because of QD), primeape, magneton, cloyster, starmie(not accessible), gyarados and jolteon. There are more that are still "not bad", but for the most part kanto has very few "bad" fully evolved pokemon.
Feel free to mention others if you think they deserve some love.
I feel like Clef is pretty darn good with all its coverage and good stats
@@BPNuzlockes True, Going by the average for fully evolved pokemon, it is still above in hp, and the specials(below in the rest), and it now has a decent movepool and typing, especially compared to gen 1, which is where i last used it.
And with the new way to remember moves it is even better if you can get it early.
My favourite Kanto Pokémon is Dewgong. Such a simple design, but so cute... I have a sticker of it on my phone 🥺

these games are so easy regardless of the team they are the easiest games to date it does show however that people choose to skip trainers and exploration if it's optional giving you the impression of gyms being at your level

Can you do a nuzlocke of pokemon violet using only shing normal types with only being able to use the moves tacke struggle bug and they are allowed to have a secondary typing only three of them and it has to be a live stream

I honestly like Dugtrio it's just 3 little guys with a buff body under the ground but its not very useful unlike its Alola Counterpart but its not horrible like OTHER gen 1 pokemon
The spiky boi jolteon is my favorite gen one.
Raichu and Haunter~ they are my oldest favorites
My favorite Kanto Pokemon is hard, because I love Pinsir and Kingler the same amount.

Oh atticus is by far the worst. The first one is hard because of limited options and its rare to have a fully evolved pokemon

The trailblaze was not +6, growth is SP AT, trailblaze is physical
The user's body grows all at once, boosting the Attack and Sp. Atk stats - from gen 5 onwards. Trailblaze would've done way less if it wasnt boosted haha
