Awesome build. Well thought out. The design is so nice. A very welcome departure from all of the insanely cluttered, rectangle base interiors I run across. Well done!!
11:31 I like how your thinking green, with the toilet directly turning waste into compost for the plants. Maybe they are smelly plants like space jasmine.
Find a planet you like, does not have to be paradise. Look around and start to tell yourself a story about what might happen there. Don't be afraid to try new stuff!
@@avataromega The problem is that is pretty difficult to me to like of any other kind of planet that isn't a perfect paradise planet with Earth-like environment (blue water, green grass and tress, normal fauna instead of weird/exotic fauna, no storms or sentinels, etc.). I only go to other planets when they have some resource useful to me.
Gorgeous. I particularly like how you built the fireplace, I have no clue how to get those pieces sideways, but they look incredible there. Could I ask what you use to make the sinks/shower? I think it must be a part I havent unlocked, bc I cant bring it to mind, and that would solve a big problem for me. Really love your work.
@@Mitch_Feral In case you or anyone else still wants help with this, the sinks were made with the "stone trough" item found under the Decorations tab. The faucet of the sink is the "vintage tap" item found under the Furnishings tab (just left of the Decorations tab). To get the faucet at the angle seen in the video you simply position (but don't place) the vintage tap where you want it, then click the 'cycle axis' option in the build menu twice (center mouse or scroll wheel button on PC) and tilt it forward, then place it on the stone trough.
ugh that's the exact sentinel ship i want. Love it. Also, as a newish player - I REALLY want the legacy building parts - they would be perfect in so many of my bases. Excellent build.
You can unlock the legacy parts with a save editor (I use the one from GoatFungus but there's another by NomNom that can probably do that). You might check Nexus (or one of the other mod sites) to see if there's a mod or two that will unlock them as well.
My base was build on an desertic atmospheric moon in orbit of a dead planet, the planet was really close and cover half of the sky, it would alwYs give me the impression that the planet would swallow my base and everything in a moments notice... But also, well it had a beautiful sunset
This is a gorgeous base!! I love the way you incorporated the rock so that it looks intentional that the rock is supposed to bleed into the build. I hate that you can't terraform your own base to suit what you want to build without having to take into account what the base looks like when it's resets itself. I especially hate how you can't put down flooring straight on the ground without having grass (that you terraformed OUT) grow back, and it grows back so quickly! (Sorry, rant over) I also love how you've decorated your base with just enough items to make the base look inhabited and well decorated without having too much clutter. You have given me a few design ideas that I can't wait to try. I just need to get past my snapping problems first.
Seriously! I’ve had some really cool ideas that would require too much terrain manipulation. One time, I was able to dig irrigation ditches without the terrain regenerating
i never trusted terrain.. i thought of making stuff like this.. underground wearhouses and stuff.. but I'm scared that if soemthing weird happenes to my save... all that terrain i took out... gets in again and well... all base destroyed, how you do it?
Really cool. I like the light panels and other fixtures on the natural exposed walls. Did you use a terrain editor or place objects on yerrain how it was already?
Sir your creativity is incredible! I have so many questions! What are the walls down in the garage level?? The black metal looking ones? How did you get an aquarium fish tank? How did you find faucets and how did you build sinks? 😂 Also, how did you build a fireplace??
Old player here. Some years ago there was a height limit to bases, meaning that outside weather would appear inside the buildings if they were too tall. I see your beautiful base is quite tall, do you have this issue or has it been fixed?
NMS has come a long way with lighting, shading, transparency and weather containment. This base had minor issues with shading, but one learns to live with it for the sake of building cool stuff. Thanks for watching!
I've finally given up on base building because since the Omega update the game crashes constantly and I've lost two separate large bases I was building because I couldn't get the game to start and had to download previous save games from my online storage from several days earlier. If they had more than two save slots like most games do this wouldn't be such a problem.
… just get a better pc. Hell. I play on a freaking console and have 20 hours on my current play through and it hasn’t crashed even once. Also if you have multiplayer on then turn that shit offff! most crashes are due to the games online features being janky as fuck.
at the moment doing that is a waste of time, if you leave your base for a time, when you come back, will be buried. For now it is better to build on the surface
Really basic lame build. I would be ashamed to show this if it was mine. You should see my zeta reticulie. I still have yet to see a base more detailed than any of mine . And that includes developer builds.
i have played this in VR for the last few months.
UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING
Thanks for watching. NMSVR is great,
12:42 Stacked fences as walls and leaving gaps for interior windows is brilliant.
Thanks!
This is the best base I have seen from you so far. Beautiful and elegant. Well done.
Really? this is your fave? Thanks!
Oh my gosh dude. This is beautiful - one of the best I've ever seen. Well done!!! I wish I could live in this house!
Wow, thank you!

Fantastic!!!! I am a simpleton when it comes to base building. Such vision for items
Thanks!

right...
Smell doesn't matter if you never take your helmet off 😂
When our Creativity is Bigger than the Game! Great Build and a wonderful use of Items outside the intent for them.
Yes! Thank you!
Nice use of those arches. Looks awesome and cozy at the same time!
Thanks 👍
Awesome ship, awesome base!
Thanks! Do check out my other builds.
Hell, where you get the inspiration to create such bases?! I cannot create nothing like that.
try to make one like that and see how far you get
@@_apsis Yeah... maybe I try that. To exercise my brain cells could be a good way to get some inspiration.

It is very well done traveler, good job !
Thank you much!
if only there was a useful reason for all that stuff beyond aesthetic
Right... thanks for watching.
That’s the difference from you being a pragmaticus” to him being an artisticus”..😁✨
This.
That's exactly what loses the enjoyment for me with building in no man's sky. Bases are more of an aesthetic than a fundamental

There are so many parts I don't recognize! What are those slopes going in--some roof part? And the girders visible at 4:25--where do those come from?
Wood and concrete legacy build parts. Thanks for watching!
@@avataromega Ah, I only have a few legacy pieces from way back in the day. Guess I never used the concrete! Thanks.
This is gorgeous! Really like the setting as well, I’m guessing it’s a moon? I haven’t played in awhile

If only regenerative terrain wasn't a thing, or at least wasn't a thing in base areas. Would open up so many more ideas for bases.

Hey thanks! It's a combination of legacy and newer parts. Some parts were acquired by doing nexus missions and buying them from the vendor there.
Dude I had an extremely similar idea for a base but I’ve been feeling burnt out on base buildings lately
Try it!
Awesome!
Thank you~
The base is awsome, I don't have that much imagination, it takes me months to build something like that, but, where did you find the Space ship?

bro so many of the parts you use do not exist for me, the wide plain metal walls you used at the front bottom half of your build dont exist for me
Those are legacy parts, and I believe are "concrete" in black.
Nicely done. Now go out into the world and do it for real. 😉
Right...
Unfortunately that bases is gonna fill in for all of us since you built it inside the hill
It could happen, but we got a neat video out of it! (The base has also since been deleted.)

yeah - if I do it, I typically delete the base after video creation.
Great and all but it will be burried soon terrain respawns are still here
Bases are created to showcase possibilities then get deleted after a bit.
Yo bro! You inspired my content, we should do a collab :)
