  • Moss is not as easy to take care of as it has a reputation of being Bullet Proof. There are several mistakes beginners and experts do that kill their moss and they have zero clue what they did wrong.
    I descriptively explain the proper way to have success with any moss if you follow my instructions.

    I always LOVE seeing your videos. No you're not annoying you're awesome as always dude.
    But when it comes to Christmas moss how you glued that one moss couldn't you do that with C mos as well ? Or would that end up being a messy disaster? 😄...
    And as far as people leaving I wouldn't worry about it because I've been a sub since I can remember and I haven't left and won't. People are always out to get what they

      You can use glue on any moss really. The part that had contact with the glue will melt. You wouldn't notice.

    The timing of finding this video was perfect. I just got some Christmas moss and you are correct I've never seen anyone suggest clipping the fishing line away. I also have some pilo moss that has been attached for 5 weeks I will be clipping that fishing line to remove it. Thanks bud

    Great video, moss was one of my big fails ( one of them. There have been many) as a substitute I have a lovely patch of green carpet algae covering one piece of driftwood in my tank.
    I love the subswassertang. If my dojo loaches leave it alone I might try some of that in my tank.

    Every time you almost go on a rant, you should write it down and once a month do a special, "Dustin's Rants" or "Crappy Tap Water Rants" and just rant about random knowledge. House plants, life hacks, lessons learned, etc. I'd watch that 😂. In the meantime, really enjoying all your videos and I am learning a lot! I was wondering if you have a video where you go through all your different tools for plants/planting, different products you use other than substrate? I see some of your tools you use in videos but haven't seen a video where you go through them. Maybe I just haven't seen it? I will admit I'm fairly new to aquatic plants and I am just using my hands for now. Anyway, sorry for the long comment, I clearly like to rant too. Have a great day man! Thank you for all the knowledge!

      Thanks for the request. No I've never thought to make a video about the tools I use. I will absolutely do that for you. It's great idea for a video. Thanks man and Thanks for watching! 🤙

    I got a really cool lava rock that I picked up on our last camping trip, now it's in my 20 gallon I'm starting up, so I stuffed some of the larger holes with the christmas moss, every time I see a little chunk floating I just stuff it in a new hole on the rock. Think it'll work out alright? It's a pretty porous rock, I just thought it would look super rad with some christmas fans growing off of it! Thoughts!?

    • @yourtap
      @yourtap  7 дней назад

      Sounds perfect to me. It can take a couple weeks to latch on to the rock. If all you've had to do is stuff a couple escapes back into it, I wouldn't worry.
      I've let pieces just float around and let them attach to what they want as well.

    Can you glue Christmas moss to driftwood to avoid using string? Not that the string looks complicated, just curious since I use gorilla gel for my other plants

    • @yourtap
      @yourtap  Год назад +2

      Yes you can. Just don't overwhelm the moss. Every part that has glue on it will die. You're waiting on the moss to attach itself overtime.
