As a Canadian I approve of this message! Seriously though it's awesome to see because getting decent fish and supplies can be really difficult outside of big metropolitan areas like Victoria in BC or like Toronto here in Ontario. Not a big deal to get lighter/smaller stuff shipped but substrate and hardscape isn't worth the cost of shipping, and depending on fish or plants ordered their shipping can cost more than the entire order cost. Also, so close to 1 million subscribers, big milestone coming soon!!
I'm late to the video, but this was absolutely wonderful! It's easy to speak positively about April's Aquarium. The customer service is incredible. It doesn't matter if you're a total beginner or an advanced fish keeper they got you! I plan to upgrade some sponge filters to the Aquarium Co-op ones, which I'm excited about. I want to see how much better the heat will distribute with the better flow, especially since the temperature here has dipped below zero. They're the only place that sells little bags of crushed coral too. So helpful, since it's a lot harder to source than you think! My shrimps and snails are grateful for it. Also, FREE local delivery...that's unheard of these days. They can also ship livestock Canada-wide! To see how much this store has evolved is incredible. Definitely support this business if you're Canadian. These type of stores keep the hobby alive :)

This is my favourite fish store I've been to in the lower mainland. And the owner Darrin is one of the coolest dudes I've ever met. Wish I lived a little closer so I could visit here as often as possible!
Me and my family absolutely love this place, have to stop in everytime we head to Vancouver. The people who work there and run it are awesome and have gone above and beyond every time I come in making sure I get what im looking for and help to ensure they would survive the 3-4hr trip home haha. The aquarium coop products brought me in, then I seen the amazing fish and how healthy they always are. I personally have never been to a store so dedicated with people who do aquariums right. super happy to have both in Canada 🇨🇦. love they ship as well.

Darrin and the team put alot of hardwork in april aquarium store. You see them grow everytime you go there. I love that they are stock with alot of aquascape wood, plant and aquarium co op sponge filter, aquarium co op fry food and point system I watch your youtube channel when I start and was so glad they carry aquarium co op when I started my hobby back in Sept 2022. They are the most modern, well stock aquarium shop in town.

April's is a weekly stop for me. They have a massive selection of interesting and super healthy fish, very knowledgeable staff, and are the only spot I've found that carry the fish that interest me. My interests focus on apistogramma, which, when you can find them tend toward the same few tank bred species. In the past 6 months April's has secured at least 8 apisto species I've never encountered outside of books or the Internet, including wild caught specimens. This in addition to the more common types. Couldn't ask for more. I can't recommend April's enough if you're in the Vancouver area, or within their shipping range.

I am a high school teacher, and April’s has been supporting my aquarium club. I now have over 20 students in my club. Aprils hosted us for a day trip to the store. Amazing store and staff. I am so grateful for them and their support!

So cool to see "the" Cory who IMO is changing this industry for the better, right here at my local fish store. Aprils Aquarium inspired by Co-op and its products is an awesome "fish/aquascaping store". All the display tanks help to truly inspire you to try and take your own tanks to that next level. And with all the products and solid advice it really is possible. And yes my Rams do now look the ones on the website. Having been in the hobby for 3 decades Its so refreshing and exciting to be keeping fish again. Those chain stores and many others seem to offer displays that are just so hmmm depressing, with plain tanks that all look neglected with the only goal focussed on pushing product out the doors. Going to Aprils is always fun, browsing and being inspired by a new fish and new look, and yes you do always need some fresh food.

I shopped at a LFS very close to me in Kitsilano area of Vancouver, same owner has been there for decades. But I've been wondering about April's Aquarium since they've been starting to carry your product, so it's nice to see from this video what's happening there and I'll for sure visit now. I live in a shoebox seniors suite and haven't kept a tank for a few years, I miss it. I'll be moving later this year so hopefully after I'll get settled I can get back into a nano tank using Cory's equipment this time.
April's is a great LFS. However, I alway spend to much money when I go there as they have a great selection of rare and oddball fish other stores dont carry and of course you always need another Aquarium Coop sponge filter or two. 😊

yes one of my favourite store and if you every get the chance you should visit fish addicts in langley which is not to far from vancover. they have some truely unique aquariums and also an indoor monster fish pond
