Hello!, for those who still have this problem, it seems to be a bug in the new version of FFmpeg, and the only solution is to go back to a previous version (6.6.1).
i did the exact steps the video said and yet the command prompt is refusing to give me the details that the ffmpeg is active, i don't know what to do about this
Oh dear! If this hasn't been resolved yet, you can join the website Krita-artists.org and submit your issue and the community will be happy to try and help. I can't tell what the issue is from here as it probably needs screenshots or video of what you're doing to be able to see.
I have no experience with a Chromebook, but you can go on Krita-artists.org to ask any questions about how Krita works on different devices or operating systems.
No matter what I try I can't seem to figure this out. I have done everything the same way as it was shown and adding the file name to the path doesn't work. It's always wrong. I have been trying for hours and it still doesn't work.
It's not working, when I go to 'bin' to render the animation ffmpeg is not there- nothing is there EDIT: nvm, turns out I didn't click the 'video' option XD
When I did the alternate way of having my pc recognize ffmpeg, was I suppose to type it word for word in the new search bar. When I did type the file to the path line, and typed ffmpeg as administrator. I didn’t get a full bunch of details. Even after pressing Enter, It says “is not recognized as an internal or external command file, operable program or batch file.”
Yes, when you type in the file path to a new path line, you need to type manually to where the Bin folder is saved on your computer. I didn't type it again in the video as it was already on there from when I first installed it, but doing it for the first time, I manually typed that line.
@@sketchyartworks6832 Oh ok thanks. But regardless, the issue still remained. Hmm…maybe it’s due to my laptop not being compatible enough for this export. But it should, it’s not like I need a whole pc for this.
@@brandon_4902 No, I also have it on a laptop and it works fine. Something I've noticed can cause issues is the drivers not being up to date. Have you made sure your graphics card and all other drivers are up to date? Not just windows, but the actual drivers. I've seen that solve a lot of issues just by updating. Sometimes the downloaded version of an application is so up to date an older driver might not recognize it.
You can't have FFMPEG on android, that's why. You can still export all the individual frames however, and perhaps use a video editing app to import them and then export to video.
Unless something has changed recently without me knowing, you can't export with FFMPEG on Android. I understand, however, that you can export the frames as an image sequence but you will then need to transfer them over into a separate video editing programme to convert into a video.
Oh dear. The good news is, that the latest versions of Krita now come with FFMPEG pre-installed into the programme so maybe you could try that version and see if the included FFMPEG saved file works any better with your system set up?
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not techy at all so not the best at troubleshooting. However if it's still not working for you then you could look on Krita-artists.org as there have been lots of questions raised about it not working and lots of solutions given.
1. this tutorial is... really bad 2. i cant make it work, my pc doesnt recognize it at all and this didnt make it less frustrating ill just either use obs to record or get Clip studio with actual working timelapse feature...
I'm sorry your pc doesn't recognise FFMPEG. The lastest version of Krita has inbuilt FFMPEG which is installed automatically into your PC so you shouldn't need another version installed aswell. Could that be the issue? Also, this video is how to export animations. It is an entirely different method and docker to export timelapse videos. I've done a quick tutorial on how to do timelapse videos if that helps. Although it won't solve any issues your PC is having with FFMPEG unfortunately.

Oh dear! I'm actually not very techy at all so I have no idea I'm afraid. However, I've seen a few posts with this kind of error on the forum Krita-artists.org, if you look on there there may be a solution already mentioned.

thank youuu
how to use andriod tab😢
AAAH THANK U SM!!!
can you do a video how to export an animation as a video in android tablets.
As far as I'm aware, this isn't possible yet because krita video exports only work with ffmpeg, and that doesn't have a mobile version.
Unless something has changed recently without me knowing, you can't export with FFMPEG on Android. I understand, however, that you can export the frames as an image sequence but you will then need to transfer them over into a separate video editing programme to convert into a video.
sooo helpful
Does it work In mobile?
I understand that FFMPEG is not available for android, and I don't think Krita works with an ipad. So my guess is no.
храни вас бог
I dont understand it???
