I have found it useful for 1 line commands. Ask too much of it and it makes errors. As you say, give it a few years and it will really impress. Also, I have found that you need to be really specific in your requests, for example specifiying what character is separating columns in a file. It explains any code you give it quite well also.
Hi, I watched this video a few months ago and thought I would comment now that I have a channel. I found this very helpful, and this helped inspire me to do some scientific programming side work with the assistance of ChatGPT. I'm just getting started, but hope it goes well. My projects are meant to be opensource so that someone with better knowledge of coding and optimize the scripts. You other videos have been helpful as well and have helped me navigate my choice in going to graduate school. I decided against that, but I think it was for the best. I wish you the best luck on your journey if you are not done with school. Us niche youtube gotta stick together!
In my opinion chatGPT is a valuable assistant for those who already knows the subject for now. Someone who is not a bioinformatician will have little help as it’s important to ask the right questions and improve debug the code or give quick suggestion. I don’t think it will replace bioinformatico and or in general data scientist for now. As you said the AI is moving pretty fast and I don’t know what is gonna happen in 5 or 10 years. Thank you for the video. 👍
Guy! What a great channel... I'm building a Bioinformatics company based on machine learning/AI Soon as my funding comes through, you are getting a call
I use chatgpt for creating gene cluster visualization using R (gggenes and ggplot2) I also tried to create circos plot files using chatgpt. It is also useful for debugging.
Thanks for the great video and channel. Do you know if anyone has created a Generative AI model forked off of GPT-4 or otherwise) that is purpose-built for bioinformatics (and trained more deeply on that domain)?
Hello! I recently graduated with a MSc in Molecular and Industrial Biotech, however after I taking a couple of courses of bioinformatics I really want to pursue a career in Bioinformatics. Do you have any advice or recommendations on where to start (I do not want to re-enroll into university) and possibly what online courses I should take to get into the field?
Hi, I'm a fresh graduate of Biotechnology from Nigeria and i am looking at getting into graduate school(direct PHD)in either the US or the UK. What skills is mandatory for me to have before i can get in?
plz I have a question.. I have master's degree in animal biology (basically Large field includes physiology, toxicology and pharmacology) and bachelor's degree in animal physiology... I want to study bioinformatics in my PhD is that possible..and thank you so much for your answer Note : iam interested in data science and I have some good skills
Good stuff man, please do not stop making videos!

Do you have a training course sir?. I would really love to learn from you
I will make one soon!
Baba murisei? Keep up the good content, tiri kutevera mumatsiko enyu 💪🏽
Thank you thank you!
time to do one with GPT-4 now!

Thanks for amazing content
As someone who wants to go into bioinformatics, this thing terrifies me. Do you think it may replace bioinformatitions?
I would say no, atleast not all of them. But I also dont know enough about this technology to know what it's really capable of in the future
hi its my first year of molecular biology and genetics major, would it be possible for me to have a chat with you?
