The rebuilt frame with all of its assemblies is a work of art and a cause for happiness. These cars were really sunny day cars but at the same time were built strong imo
Looks great JP! The shim under the rear axle to spring might be to level the car. You might have to see after the car is assembled and back on wheels to see how level it sits.
there is something weird about those springs... my recollection is that the extra short leaves combat drivers side sag and mount on the passenger side, acting as a leveling shim (as @David Plummer mentioned).
on my tr and two others I took apart they had the two little pads on the pass (right side) and one on the drivers side I looked in the big red tr book they dont talk about those at all so not sure what or why they are there but for leveling. as for your front wheel bearing they are spinning WAY to free are they greased yet and set properly?
Nope definitely not set correctly… mainly setting it up to get the body back on the frame so I can save space and get on with the metal work…. Guess next step is swap the springs

Felt like a accomplishment for sure, Got to keep working

Thanks David ….. thought one of the Canadian triumph gurus might have that knowledge, like right there, you know

Yep think the answer is clear and no the redo will begin
Did you forget to install rubber buffers on the rear axle before bolting the ale to springs?
Yep but not 100 percent in yet, I have to swap the springs side to side so I will get that opportunity
I think the extra leafs go on the drivers side to account for the fact that for the most part the car is driven solo…I call it the Batchelor lean…
You the man

might just try a hack saw blade on the inside to carefully make a slot then it aught to come out easily.
oops, just got to the end and saw you got it out
@@mikeg5877 nice suggestion but I know my limitations sometimes…
