My husband and I have definitely been frequent riders of the struggle bus. We’re now at a place where we have more than we need but we still live below our means. We don’t want to have to struggle as we get older. When we spend larger amounts of money, we do so on experiences. Things do not make you happy and tomorrow is never promised. I’d much rather have amazing memories of time spent together or with family and friends than the “latest & greatest” whatever it is.

I totally understand that, Sadie has lots of health issues and has OT and feeding therapy weekly and the worry and watching like a hawk for every little sign and symptom takes a toll on you.

Isn’t it funny how one chore is enjoyable to some and not to others. I love doing laundry, I have clothes lines so I hang sheets and quilts to dry in the fresh air & sunshine .i love folding clothes and really love ironing! It’s soothing and relaxing to me! I loved seeing Sadie, she’s growing up and is so adorable ❤ if you ever want to come to Texas, you’re welcome at my house!
When I had a clothes line I loved it! I need to put one up again. Bubba will have to build me one, the last one was tree to tree and I’d get ate up by ants 😂😂. And she is growing so fast, she’s a mess lol thank you! And oh man I wish we could come to Texas haha we have a friend from there who goes back often!

When I was younger we had it rough financially. When my 3rd child turned 5 I went to work. Money was still tight, but it made me feel better to know I was doing what I could. Thankfully my kids were all healthy.

I can't complain too much honestly because all my kids have their health, we have a roof over our heads, we all have beds, food, water etc. But I do the same I will hold onto things until they break and have no more life in them. I have gotten better about letting clothes go if I can. I will literally wear the same clorhes for years on end too.

Plus everyone is starting to decorate for Christmas and I can't even watch them bc we are having to try to hurry and find another house but everything is SOOOO expensive or it's already taken! I guess I shouldn't complain because in 18 years we've only had an issue about 4 times. But this being the 2nd time in just a few days, I am just not too sure how the county lines will be through this coming-out winter. Guess I should stock up on gallon jugs of water, just in case the weather is bad and I can't get to town.

There was a time when my kids were little that I literally had to roll change to deposit into my account so that I could buy groceries or so that our account wouldn’t go into the negative. Thankfully, we are in a better place now but I sure do remember those days. I still save my change in piggy banks just in case!
We’ve relied on our change so many times! We still save ours too! We used to use the coin machine and I remember feeling like everybody in the grocery store had to know we didn’t have any money because I was using the coin machine 😭. And why on earth is that thing so loud 😂😂😂?! But the amount would always surprise me, it was always way more than I expected! Always a blessing for sure
@ keep saving! It’s a great rainy day emergency fund! I felt the same way when I was taking rolled change and pennies into the bank. Then I realized the tellers know exactly what my account balance was so they knew what I was doing. I had to just ignore it because I had no other option.
I hope if anyone ever catches me putting on makeup to clean, that they call 911, because I must be having a medical emergency or a mental breakdown 😂😂. I barely even put on makeup to go out in public!
I don't know why it amazes me that people can be so rude criticizing other people when they chose to watch the video in the first place. I know what you mean about not going out and buying new stuff. I grew up military. I got married young and my husband was military. We had no money. We do okay now, but my daughter used to nag me about furniture not matching or having all the fancy decor everyone else has. I told her what we have is nice and there is no reason to waste it. You never know what will happen. Why spend all your money on new things, when something unexpected happens and you spent all your money. I buy things I like. Styles change, everyone has to keep up with all the trends. I like comfy, cozy. As long as my place is clean and sanitary. I don't know why it amazes me that people can be so rude criticizing other people when they chose to watch the video in the first place. I know what you mean about not going out and buying new stuff. I grew up military. I got married young and my husband was military. We had no money. We do okay now, but my daughter used to nag me about furniture not matching or having all the fancy decor everyone else has. I told her what we have is nice and there is no reason to waste it. You never know what will happen. Why spend all your money on new things, when something unexpected happens and you spent all your money. I buy things I like. Styles change, everyone has to keep up with all the trends. I like comfy, cozy. As long as my place is clean and sanitary. I do need to get rid of a lot of stuff but that is slowly but surely happening. I have missed your videos. Have a great day.

I also don’t think I have the eye for making things match 😂 but honestly if I walk into anyone’s house that I know personally, they have family pictures on the wall, furniture that isn’t all matching, just normal looking homes lol. I think it’s social media that makes everyone think it’s supposed to look like that.
