    Superb review with very detailed information on each nib variant. If I may ask, what do you write with these amazing pens?

    • @sskhussaini
      @sskhussaini 4 года назад +1

      If you're asking generally, people who like fountain pens prefer to use them as much as possible, to write anything from shopping lists, to diaries, to work related writing.
      If you're asking the Doctor personally, I apologise!

    Your handwriting is beautiful!! Which only mkes your reviews more pleasant to watch! Thanks for this handy comparison. I love FCs and love my SIG nib. Now contemplating a needlepoint to add to my collection and this video was very helpful to see the difference!

    I treasure my Franklin Christoph Prototype 02 (one of a kind color that I just love) that was ground to their Sig Nib by Jim himself shortly before he passed away... Every time I write with it I remember that we lost a treasure in the FP community....

      Envious of your acquisition and the privilege to use a nib grinded by late Jim Rouse. 👍🏻😍

      The red is Sailor Yodaki
      Dark blue is Sailor Yonaga
      And the other blue is Sailor Souten. AFAIR :D

    I just got a pocket 66 with a fine sig nib and its probably the best steel nib i own. I know this video is couple years old so FC and Audrey may have improved some but even on my fine I get a pretty good amount of line variations.

    Thanks for this. I was planning on an F-C with Masuyama nib, but couldn't decide well between medium or broad cursive italic. From your video I see that my hunch to go with medium was definitely correct.
    I'm still surprised that nothing really compares to masuyama-tuned broad or medium. I would expect it's relatively easy for Jowo or Bock to bring out a nib with this profile. Obviously they wouldn't be tuned to his level of quality and detail, but it's still strange nothing like that exists. We either have broad / medium or we have a 1.1mm stub in most pens.

    It is a huge advantage for an educated man to have balanced and consistent handwriting. It affords not just him but his readers some maybe old fashioned but real joy. I think yours is better than Stephen Brown’s or Chris’ or any pen reviewer’s, except maybe a calligrapher lady (another Indian I think, which tells us something interesting about our education system here in india a generation ago, I guess).
    However, as a pen reviewer your good hand is actually a disadvantage for us poor knowledge-seekers. It remains spectacularly unaffected by any nib/ink/pen design that you use, and it leaves me impressed but not wiser. 🥺
    However, I am not so coarse as to blame you, lol. I watch your videos to enjoy your hand basically. And having said that, I plan to see your next video after more daily practice on my own lamented hand 🤚. Thanks!

      I started using fountain pens around five years ago, but I didn't really practice my handwriting, so it isn't anything to write home about.... His handwriting is very legible. ❤️
