Worst pens I own , Montblanc, grind on them is awful, they grinded so much of the iridium away that they only left the gold tip..pen skips like you won't believe, I have pens of 1/10 of the price that write much better and have better quality control...can not recommend spending your hard earned money..goes to show how little rich people know about something simple as writing..sorry to b..ch on your vid man...I know it's not your fault..just wanna give first hand experience to those who might be interested...

They're just too damned expensive. I'd buy the Pilot, since i can trust their quality, but they're, especially the other two non Pilots, outragously priced. I have a fountain pen that cost me 120.00 (US) and a dollar store rollerball that cost 2/1.00 ( before Biden). The .50 pen writes just as well, maybe better. It's not as as cool, nor reusable but. . .

I like how you really didn't give your personal opinion of how each nib "feels" (which is very subjective), but, rather, gave objective ratings on the aspects of a nib that are most important to fountain pen users. This is the most helpful video I've ever seen on German nibs. Thank you!

Most curious to know: : Like-for-like how does the Pilot M nib stack up against the Pelikan and Montblanc in terms of width and wetness? (I suspect the Pilot is not as "smooth" and "buttery" as the German pens but come with more feedback?)

This is a very tough choice here! Almost impossible as each one is a superlative writing experience. However, the one I reach for most often is the Pilot for the smooth as glass feel and huge ink capacity. Also, the other 2 are so expensive I almost never go out of house with them. But if I'm honest, the Pelikan is the most satisfying to write with.
