To name the pen Lotus 'Student' at this price is atrocious and a cruel joke. We surely do not need a costly JoWo nib unit or any costly converters. Indian Kanwrite nibs are very, very good- more than matching a JoWo. Indian ebonite pens should sell at Indian prices. Take a Gama Popular or Forever or Raja pen, or WalityAirmail EB 69 - all ebonite- they write very well at much lower -really affordable prices. They are in fact pens for Indian students.

Nice pen, super nice review! The altercation between Dr Pro and Mr Con is funny 😄. How would you compare it with Kanwrite desire which is much cheaper for students and beginners? Which nibs do you prefer Kanwrite or JoWo ?

I like Kanwrite Desire. And for me Kanwrite nibs are preferable to Jowo.
Somewhat stiff, wetter and tad more feedback.

It is costly ... Not fair price for this kind of pen ... It is indian pen and still too costly for Indians ...
Writting too is not that worthy at this price point ...
Pilot metropolitan or twisbi are too far in the class
