- WOW what a huge achievement to have been selected to represent South & East England for the 2024 British Dressage Inter-Regionals. In this vlog, Voss and I head to Leicestershire where we compete over 2 days at Pickering Grange.
Voss made me so proud this weekend🥹. Day one and in our first test, sack the jockey, I made a few costly mistakes leaving us with a score of 67.15%. Day two, we were first in and I knew we needed to do a faultless test to increase our overall final mark for the weekend. A couple of accuracy mistakes again on my behalf but Voss was a SAINT. We managed to hold leading position right until the very final couple of riders which was gutting and put us into 2nd place in the day 2 test. We scored an impressive 70+% from judge C and an overall score of 68.7%. The final result was an average of both days scores together which meant we finished on a fab score of 68.9% which gave us a top 10 placing individually out of a HUGE class of over 40 competitors from England, Wales and Scotland. SO HAPPY with him. The cherry on top was definitely seeing our region @bd_southandeast win this year’s inter-regionals🤩🙌🏻 another HUGE congrats to the whole team and to all competitors at the show - such talented riders and horses out there🔥

I absolutely loved your two dressage tests. I thought that you and Vossi did splendidly, yes there was a little bobble on the first test by the cats but after that I thought you did a great test.
The second one was great
and I thought you both showed extremely well.

You know what Charlotte, I really appreciate you vlogging in the car (minute 21) when you didn’t feel great. I’ve just started Showing and after my classes at my first show, I felt like this - so shattered and poorly. I know it was a combination of heat, extreme nerves and adrenaline etc but I did think ‘is it just me’? Also I suffered with a chronic fatigue condition for 3 years which was absolutely horrendous and although I’ve now fully recovered from it, when I felt like this at a show, I went into panic mode that it was this coming back (of course it wasn’t but that’s just where my mind takes me!) Anyhoo, massive congratulations and I really appreciated you vlogging all your feelings and emotions- it has helped me hugely! Xx
