I don't think that the error of Caps weapons being switched was intentional. I think it was either an honest mistake or they didn't think it would be a big deal. I do think that releasing the second version wasn't some sort of admission of error or correction, it was just a way to make more money.
Dunno if this is just a coincidence but when the captain Marvel pops released, my local Tesco only had Vers slightly leaning forwards in the box. Like, none were standing upright.
The hellboy makes me sad, it seems clear that they made it weird just to make it seem different from the comic one. The comic one really looks like the movie so in order to make you buy 2 pops they changed the colors to actually look less accurate from the movie
Probably one of the worst Pops in my opinion this year is the original Endgame Thor. He never wears the quantum suit with that hairstyle. I get that Funko was trying to mislead people but it just seemed like a waste of plastic when they made three other Thor Pops.
The haunted mansion pops shouldn’t be on here. I understand they should’ve been glow in the dark but they’re still amazing looking and not bad in the slightest
Yeah, I have every one of the haunted mansion ones as there is a room in my house that is completely haunted mansion themed. I consider them one of my favorite collections from this year!
I think if the GitD Leota wasn't made they wouldn't be on the list. It's like Nearly Headless Nick and Moaning Myrtle from last year, NHN was released as a common only to be reissued as a GitD SDCC exclusive. If Funko did it one way or the other across the board it would have been okay.

First, awesome list. Second, that thing of the Blue Otter and Lime made perfect sense in the business point to me. I see it as a product that isn't way too popular that got an exclusive. It's a niche audience that probably would be willing to pay the price or go to the event and try to get their hands on it. This was my argument until I put myself on the other foot. For my DBZ homies, imagine funko drops the 4/5 members of the Ginyu force and then makes Guldo limited to 1000 pcs. Not a popular character but still needed to make the Ginyu force complete. Ah hell naw, you're absolutely right C.P. I really hope funko, sticks to making special versions for those limited pieces instead of the necessary ones to complete the set group. Yikes, I just muted it but the chrome pops are freaking everywhere. Not only that, they are so lazy. I say this because the Lightning McQueen target exclusive pop is said to be Metallic. Yet, I own it and see it has a chrome finish with decals and yes, colors. It is marvelous. Like you said with the colossus. The idea of a chrome finish and that is all is pretty lazy. Now, they want to do the same but with a grain (Wood finish) mark like the captain america. Oh boy. Also, PS, I felt so bad when I saw that video of Noelle. It's crazy to me because each year Funko will have some haves like the Samurai Jack set and then they'll drop something truly depressing like soo many chrome Hulks, Jokers ( which I bought just for the shirt ), and other random chrome Pops ! Both of them don’t glow up, it’s has “ Glow in the Dark” on it but in REALLY tiny letters but they don’t glow 😣 I was kinda upset.
I completely agree with the chrome one. They over did it this year. It didn’t really make sense, they could’ve like chromeified the stones and gave him/his arm a glow in the dark feature and it would’ve been 10x better

The Lion King 2019 pops suck so much and it’s not cause I didn’t like the movie. I like the Teen Titans Go! pops and I don’t like the show. Rafiki looks ok because it looks like how he did in the movie. Timon should have been smaller and Pumba looks like a turd but at least they look like how they were in the movie. Scar and Simba don’t look like how they look in the movie. Simba is the one that pisses me off the most because he looks horrifying, he looks like he wants to eat someone, at least Scar is supposed to be scary. Overall, The Lion King series is probably the worst series this year and also great video👌🏻
Couldn't agree more. My dislike of the remake made me admittedly biased against these already, but they almost made me puke when I saw a shipper of them at Walmart at first. I picked up some of the classic Lion King Pops because both the movie and the Pops were both better executed. They were the biggest turd of a series for the year.

So I bought bloodless Hannibal Lecter because I am a huge fan of horror flicks, and legit about a week later I picked up the bloody one as well. I saw it at the store, and was surprised, I thought they only sold a bloodless one. So yeah, now I have both I guess
If they do it a few years later and make it different it’s good because it allows more people to get it. They shouldn’t care about the value because they don’t make money when people resell. If they remake a pop people want, more people can collect it and they get money

To be fair, the Vegeta one kinda makes sense. It's sort of representing different forms, the red being Super Saiyan God, the blue being Super Saiyan Blue, etc. That's kind of how I justified it anyway. The rest are just silly. Great video though, really enjoyed!

i bought the haunted mansion constance pop cause ... she's my favorite. and i'm not gonna lie, while it's a gorgeous pop, i was so disappointed that there was no glow.
The disappointing Funko Pop of 2019 for me is the “Scar with Flames” Funko Pop because the figure can’t be removed from the base and the head can’t move. Unfortunately, all of the Scar Funko Pops nowadays don’t have movable heads.
For the most part I can see improvements over old figures as a reason for a company to have people double dip, but like Funko Pops don't really improve over time they kinda just stay the same style and quality wise the GhostBusters ones are barley different.
End Game quantum suits line really annoyed me. They didn't even try with those and the maskless Captain Marvel pops because much like the Ant Man and Wasp line last year, the ones with masks look way better
I kinda prefers the SOur Patch Kids and Otter Pop being so limited AFTER their other pops were announced as opposed to the opposite. Wynonna Earp SDCC exclusive was limited and we had no idea more Wynonna Earp pops were coming and we still don't know if Funko is going to make characters outside of Wynonna. So every Earper went nuts trying to get the only Funko we knew for sure we were getting, and Funko didn't announce for like a month after that more Wynonna Earps were coming (and we are still in the dakr about other characters). I also think that the ad icons (which Sour Patch kids are close enough to) are good as these limited releases because they're neat novelty stuff almost.
I love these lists you literally say what we are all thinking regarding Funko recently they seriously need to get back to their roots with these things or people are just gonna loose interest. I mean I know I did think I've only bought about 6 all year

I liked this list a lot and I agreed. You should make a top 10 worst looking Funko pops of 2019. My girlfriend didn't like that a lot of the ones on the list were mistakes by Funko, but the pop itself is fine (like Energizer Bunny).
I think one of the worst ones was that "wooden" Captain America. I agree with you about the Fury pop face paint, even if it wasn't limited, having a movie accurate face would have made it better.

I love these lists you literally say what we are all thinking regarding Funko recently they seriously need to get back to their roots with these things or people are just gonna loose interest. I mean I know I did think I've only bought about 6 all year

I agree with the glow in the dark miss on those haunted mansion joints! It made me only want the glow one straight up, no dinner.

I liked this list a lot and I agreed. You should make a top 10 worst looking Funko pops of 2019. My girlfriend didn't like that a lot of the ones on the list were mistakes by Funko, but the pop itself is fine (like Energizer Bunny).
I think one of the worst ones was that "wooden" Captain America. I agree with you about the Fury pop face paint, even if it wasn't limited, having a movie accurate face would have made it better.
