  • This video I'm focusing on the Shaving Mug Wall Unit that will hold all of the shaving mugs and brushes. It was created in Silhouette Studio.But I believe it would be easy to replicate by hand, since it is mainly basic shapes. I also created a cash register using pattern pieces made from my cash register video. I needed to have a table to place the register on, so I used some scrap cardstock to create one.

    • @maryolin216
      @maryolin216 4 месяца назад

      @Lauras-tinyview yes, I am. Cut 12 circles no more than an inch in diameter (unless you want them bigger). Fold each in half. Then open, and run a line of glue from the fold to the outer edge so it's centered, refold. Repeat on all. Then snip off a bit on the top and bottom of half circles. Apply glue near both snipped edges and place another snipped half circle on top. Continue until all half circles are glued together. You will have a small stack of half circles with folded edges on one side. Allow to dry. Putting under a book is also a good idea. Once dry, the pumpkin will open like an accordion. Place a small stem in the middle and glue pumpkin ends together. Add a couple of paper leaves. 😁❤️

    Your voice so reminds me of my favorite aunt too! I hear a bit of southern accent in your speech - is that right?
    I’m currently working on my “fairytale dollhouse” with an older 1:12 (6 room) dollhouse I have. Each room draws inspiration from a specific fairytale. Then, I take that inspiration and make the room reflect that tales, but more whimsical, rather “dark” or an exact replica of the actual fairytale itself. I’ve finished the “Hansel and Gretel” room and am now on the “Jack and the Beanstalk” room. Then I will do “Rapunzel,” “Goldilocks and the 3 Bears,” “The Gingerbread Boy,” and “The Three Little Pigs” rooms. It’s all coming along nicely and I am having so much fun with this house!!!

      @@Lauras-tinyview I’m not actually doing a specific room in the traditional sense - so no specific bathroom or kitchen, per se. But what a great way to approach it - now you’ve got me thinking of even more fun possibilities!
      What I have planned in terms of rooms thus far:
      The Gingerbread Boy will be a kitchen setting - of course!
      Rapunzel will be a bedroom-hair salon combo room
      Goldilocks and the 3 Bears will feature various sizes of 3 beds, a table with 3 bowls of porridge along with 3 chairs, and of course, other fun inclusions
      Jack and the Beanstalk is a kitchen-like setting with a huge table, a nesting goose with golden eggs, a beanstalk growing through the floor and ceiling as well as an encompassing cloud (polyester stuffing material) environment.
      The 3 Little pigs will be a den-like room with a fire replace, etc.
      Hansel and Gretel is a kitchen like setting with candy-themed walls, oven, etc. and shelves of potion bottles and an alluring child size table with toys, games, candies and books.
      I think I’m going to call the house “The Happily Ever After Inn.” It’s really a fun house to create. And … I love your idea … I’m now wondering what would a Rapunzel or Three Little Pigs bathroom look like?! Hmmmm! ❤️

    The cash register podium couldn't have turned out any better if you had designed it specifically. Great use of 'trash'. The mugs were owned by the regulars. The movie "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" is set in 1912 New York (later time then your barber shop I know) and there is a very poignant scene where the daughter goes to the barber shop to collect her father's mug after his passing. It seemed to be somewhat of a status symbol. You were prosperous enough to go to a barber on a regular basis.
