Don't worry, no animals were harmed creating this video. I created this deer mount mainly for my Western builds using mostly paper. It would also be perfect for your dollhouse or room boxes. I used some foil for the armature but that's optional. You can replace the foil with scrunched up paper instead.
Other materials I used were masking tape, hot glue, acrylic paints and thin paper (for the paper mache)

Well done Laura your dedication to authenticity is amazing. I admire the way you used simple materials to achieve this model, bring on the moose!
Thank you so much! Im hoping to put the moose in the lobby, if I can pull it off. 😆
Well, I'll be, those are the cutest!!! It looks perfect in the barbershop. There is no end to what you can do with cardstock, paper and now aluminum foil. 😃
😆😆 Thanks Kathleen!! ❤️ You’d laugh if you saw my big bag of cotton I’ve been saving from my vitamin bottles. 😂😂

OMG these are absolutely amazing, you’ve done an incredible job making them, and they’re so cute too, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed them. I’m not really into this type of thing but I see it a lot in vintage photos and had to add them. So I tried to make them look cute. 😁
awesome job! looks Great :)
Thank you! 😊
Absolutely amazing.. I am a avid follower of ultimate paper mache Joni is the best.😊
Thank you! I totally agree!
What lovely deer my dear (see what I did there lol) and I can’t wait to see your moose too!
That’s adorable Dianne! 😁❤️ Thank you!
Another incredible build! You did an awesome job! A suggestion, maybe pick up some air dry clay and you can use that to fill in gaps, etc. I bought some for my little siblings and I use it more then them now just to fill in stuff, but the head/antlers you ended up with probably didn't really need it, so just a thought for future stuff! I love how you added the glossy look for the eyes, my dad has a mounted deer head in our living room (lol) and even after 20 years, the eyes are still super glossy looking.
Also, a question, do you use the normal Silhouette blade, or the deep cut one? Also again, I hope you're doing okay ❤
That is a terrific tip about the air dry clay! Thank you for sharing that with me! I love air dry clay and happen to have some on hand. I will definitely give that a try for sure! ❤️
@@desiraemonique Thank you for asking, yes I’m doing pretty okay. ❤️ I use the blade for up to 2mm. I have the deep cut blade and I’ve never tried it yet. To be honest it seems confusing to me and a little scary. 😆 Do you use the silhouette and if so have you tried the deep cut blade?
@@Lauras-tinyview Happy to hear ❤❤ I have a Cameo 4, I just recently used your idea to cut multiple shapes and stack them to make sturdier builds, I did some vintage style frames for Halloween decorations, I do make dioramas, but have only used sticks and stirrers for that, which from here on out I'll be using my cutter instead. You get much more detail and a better looking outcome. I'm also iffy about trying a deep cut blade too, I'm more of a plug it in and go, and not try to tinker or try out new stuff LOL
@@desiraemonique I love that!! So glad you found my method useful! And you found a new use for your cutting machine. Sometimes I’m lazy though and don’t want to pull out my machine to cut one little piece, so I draw it on cardstock a few times and cut it with scissors.
I'm not into heads on the wall, but you did a great job making these little guys. Looks good in the barber shop.
Me neither. Thank you! Thanks for watching anyway!
I'm not into heads on walls but, like you, I'm working in a period when these were all the rage and, as ever, I'm grateful and amazed at how talented you are at translating everything into paper and cardstock to make stunning miniatures! Love it❤ its really beautiful!
Anne thank you! That really means a lot to me! I’m so glad you like them!! Thank you so much for watching!
Wow!! You have so much talent! ❤
Wow, thank you! ☺️
I love watching you at work, your such a genius ❤❤. This turned out great 👍🏾
Awww Thank you so much! 😊 How have you and your daughter been lately? I bet she enjoys all the things you create.
@Lauras-tinyview we been doing well thanks, she certainly is a mini me in the making, she's a great miniaturist already. I hope you are doing well too 💗 💓
@@Minimodernz Yes I’m doing okay. Thanks for asking!😊❤️
@Lauras-tinyview glad to hear it🙏
Omg it is SO COOL. I could picture doing this with other animals (i w0uld never have real ones. I do like fake taxidermy tho.)
Glad you enjoyed it!! I would never have real ones either! I plan to try making a moose sometime.
WOW!
Thanks!
