I love water wisteria. I put it in my cherry shrimp tank and weighted it down. It grew a canopy in there and when you look from the top all you see is tons of baby shrimp in the canopy. It's green with no brown at all and is just pretty to look at.
Hahaha yup that water wisteria! I got some when I started my first tank but I didn’t know about emursed growth plants at the time. It melted back to just the tiniest nubs and I was really frustrated but I didn’t throw it out. Eventually it adjusted and just exploded in the tank! I had sooooo much of it. I don’t have nearly as much now 🤔 I think it takes a hit if you treat the tank with salt. I think that’s when it stopped being so prolific. I also lost my nice bushy windelov fern at that time 😭 Sometimes the best things for your fish aren’t good for your plants....
Damn, I knew it was water wisteria, that thing overtook all of the tanks that I had it in. It grows even when not planted, it's a monster of a plant. And it's amazing for reducing algae.
Hygrophila Polysperma grows like crazy in my LT tank. Faster that H. Difformis. It doubled it's size within 2 weeks! Vallisneria is slow for me, on the other hand.
What fertiliser s are OK to add & won't harm. Fish! Also should I take away brown leaves on plants & wash any plants at water change or just leave them?
This is Patton from Brown Aquatics, we have spoke about my tanks in the past! First of all great video, straight to the point and there are "heaps" 😂 of information throughout. Second, i would like to do a little experiment that involves sharing our guppies with one another. I would love to break it down with you, and chat about it if you would be so kind to give me some sort of contact information! Thanks, hope to talk so! Brown Aquatics
I also find that Watersprite and Pogostemon (octopus plant) are extremely fast growers... and they're both pretty lowlight plants, and great for hiding, or fry, too! Just thought I'd throw that out there! Have a great day. 😀
Exactly what I was thinking, but I lay a Mat down and use a cleaning broom thing idk what they are called but I use buckets to do water changes, and clean up and drips of spilt water with the broom thing
I have a 110 gallon tank with a painted Turtle 2 small plecos and a oscar. id love to add live plants for a more natural look my led lights cant keep up with my plecos eating lg. i want it to be balanced where my turtle eats the plants but also lets them grow. What would be the best plant with a sand ground and lots of rocks?
1st off that is a terrible terrible idea... I can’t tell if your joking or not but you would have 0 plants left turtles eat plants I’ve seen oscars tear them up and if they are common plecos they will get massive
The plants:
Bacopa caroliniana, Ceratopteris thalictroides (water sprite), Vallisneria (jungle Val), Hemianthus Micranthemoides (pearl weed), Hygrophila difformis (water wisteria)
Thank you for this!!

I know you have a video about a couple specific types of moss, but can you think about making a video on easiest vs. hardest types of moss to keep?
Yes!
I've watched a couple videos where people call Java Moss zombie moss like you cannot kill it.
I have a tank with Nothing but water wisteria an I have to say it is my favorite tank
